My check-in was very fast and I got a room upgrade. Staff were professional and helpful. Room was very nice. Location is perfect, also for getting into town centre very fast.

An absolutely beautiful hotel. A little on the outskirts of Florence/Firenze so you need to take the 22 bus or a cab to get there. But there are a few sushi locations and a mall (with a coop super market, quick a selection of restaurants and a a movie theatre) across the street.
We asked for a triple room which they were happy to accommodate for. Staff is very kind and professional. Elevators are small though - the three of us with our suitcases barely fit inside (but I think this is just a Europe thing?) Breakfast is beautiful with a variety of options. Dinner was very quiet when we went in October, prices are steep.
The room is huge and beautiful. Lovely and very clean bathroom. Robes are provided! Lots of countertop space and room by the vanity. Beds were comfy!response / report this review -

The hotel is really comfortable, clean, cosy and contemporary, most of the staff is kind and helpful while the others are especially rude and unkind. This is very troubling because they had no reason to be unhelpful and angry. Although they have a parking space for the hotel guests, they didn’t let us park our car! The breakfast is good enough, the location is not exactly in the center but close enough to take the bus or a taxi.

This was our first time staying at a Starhotel and we would DEFINITELY stay again. The customer service was some of the best service we have ever had. Quick example, my husband and I got a parking ticket in the city center of Bologna. We had paid to park and followed signs as best as possible, but got a ticket anyway. Since we do not speak Italian, we weren't sure what the ticket was for. So, we asked if the receptionist could read and translate it for us. Not only did she help us understand the issue, she helped us pay the ticket online.. The staff was also incredibly knowledgeable about the city and how to best get around, making it easy for first-timers.
On another note, the breakfast was delightful and the rooms were nice. Thank you Starhotels!response / report this review -

Great rooms and service. Ideally located if you have a car but want to easily get into historic centre by bus because of the no car zone. One quick and short bus ride to the Duomo.

Most of the staff is very nice. Airconditioning doesn't function before may (or a different month), this was only mentioned after we complaint about the heat in the room. They did offer us a room on the other side of the hotel though afterwards.
Decent breakfast, but nothing special. Ask for a coffee at breakfast if you want good Italian coffee.

Nice hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is nice with really great Italian sweets. The hall bar has a nice atmosphere but is too pricey

Great atmosphere, clean and tidy rooms. Small compared to American standards like anything else :)
Staff is kind and caring, good location. If your intention is to visit the city center, either take bus or walk like 35-45 min.
Take taxi for late night outs..
Hotel has a pretty neat restaurant (with food supplied from famous Italian restaurant Eataly) for those on business travel. Touristic travels probably would like to go more authentic places.
Overall, nice, reliable and "not too far from city center" hotel. 4 stars in comparison to hotels same standard hotels at city center..response / report this review
