I put one because I can't put zero.
From the most important, to the tiniest detail :
The hotel is located in the middle of a busy curve road, which makes every single room of the hotel loudly noisy. Don't stop there without a solid stock of sleep-pills, like.. seriously, don't. Buses honk at 4am in the curve to mark their presences (this actually makes some sense in the mountains, but they do every half of every hour of the night too) It's like sleeping just nearby a highway.
I know it's a "budget" hotel, at least regarding the standing of the coast but The rooms smell cigaret, which somehow makes sense since the owner herself smokes everywhere (it's her place, so she does whatever she wants Im just not found of it) ; also smells bleach, which she probably uses to wash down the entire place.
The dog, which actually looks like a giant bear (and i do love animals, believe my 23y cat), and as nice as he is barks day to night to the cars passing down the road. Great combo.
The parking is not always available. She has a couple of spots (i think about 4~5), but then if you need to park, you'll pay €10 to see your car gone in the next town (maiori) where a private parking is. They, as usual in Italy, leave your car keys on, windows down.
The city tax is cheap, but it is not possible to pay it with the rest of the bill. You'll have to bring €1 per pax in cash, as the owner won't accept your card, even if you're already paying for your stay.
The wifi is slower than ever, but i didn't really care as europeans now enjoy free roaming all over eu.
I've been in ~many~ places all around the world, from the cheapest places of India to the fanciest hotels of San Francisco (which i hope does give a span), and i really do not recommend this place if you're willing to enjoy peacefully your vacations. Sleep is essential to relax and this place, as much as it provides bedrooms, does not provide such.
Grazie a tutti. Tamara e fam.
Four stars, but not for the usual reasons like lavishness or such, First, Maria, was waiting for us as we got off the bus so that we could easily find the location. And the warmish (see below) welcome did not end there! Check in was a breeze, and our room is so colorful, and nicely. The bed is firm (not at all soft), and very comfy. The bathroom is clean with a short, but invitingly deep tub. The sink is in the bed/ or sleeping chamber. And our request for hot (tea) water, was quickly accommodated.
The only "downsides" are (1) temperature I'm American, so I could wish the room was warmer; better too hot, than a trifle too cool; (2) our request to add nights could not be honored and (3) Maria seemed a little more enthusiastic to see my blond, blue eyed husband than me a dark skinned, dark eyed beauty (it was a fleeting , but tangible impression, not imaginary.
I'll add more if applicable.
The hotel is located in the center of Minori, 200 mt far from the beach. Rooms are very confortable. The only problem comes with the parking area. It is not so big so you need to reserve it in advance and it's necessary because public parking in the area is very expensive.
Disgusting noisy place
Nice place with great view
