EXCELLENT VIEWS! you will not be disappointed by the views and the staff was helpful. While you are not within walking distance to any of the 'larger' towns on the coast there is a bus stop right out front of the hotel.
Not 5 stars in my eyes as the food was not terrific and the rooms are old. Yes, I know it is an older area/hotel but bed and pillows were not very comfy and rooms are noise where you can hear folks above and next to you.response / report this review -

I would have given 5 star, because the hotel, the reception rooms drinks Etc were 5 star, but the receptionist was a bit surley.

Lovely family-run hotel, most of the staff have been here for years. I say that in a good way, they seem genuinely delighted to see us again.

We stayed here for 3 days in August. It was so good that we tacked on another day. Here are a couple of things we loved.
The pool and water view and access is some of the best in Amalfi. The pool overhangs the ocean and is gorgeous. You can also walk down and take a plunge in the ocean. All very private and well done.
The people are nice and accommodating. I don't understand the reviews about people being rude. Everyone was helpful and thoughtful. Some minor quirks like reserving spots by the pool but that is the hotel catering to its guests. It should not stop anyone from visiting as we were treated well. The staff are friendly and courteous.
The food is amazing. Dining room can be hard to find but the views are worth it. Some of the pictures I posted are shot out the room or dinner. You won't find a better view or meal.
Prices are fair for the area and competitive.
You should come here if you want to experience a nice balance of Old World Italia and modern conveniences. This place is not a spa and it shouldn't be judged as such. We loved our visit and plan to return.

Unprofessional and rude staff. Overpriced place. Sure they have a nice view but so many other (better) hotels in the Costiera. Look somewhere else!

Very rude staff. Snobby at the front desk. Beautiful property and wonderful food but the environment was very unpleasant and unwelcome.
