I stayed at this B&B over the weekend and found staying at Barone to be a positive yet interesting experience.
You will want to know that when arriving at the building, you will want to make your way to the fifth floor where you should meet Enzo. I was initially bemused due to there not being a sign or indication of this at the entrance or near the stairs.
The location is good, though a little far from the Arechi Marina and the train station on foot. I enjoyed the views from my sea view room, though due to the industrial port close by, there is some late night and early morning noises coming from the port which can cause some interruptions to light sleepers like me.
Enzo himself is very friendly and is willing to help where he can. He will take you through some key locations in the area and will assist with booking ferries and recommending restaurants etc. His English is very sufficient so no worries there.
I did not find any negative aspects about my room, cleanliness was great and the air con was very effective. My only minor niggle was the pressure of the water in the shower, though I am perhaps used to a "power shower" style and therefore the shower water felt very weak. In Palazzo antico centrale. Camere ampie, pulite, molto panoramiche. Accoglienza familiare. Buona la colazione con cornetti a scelta. Ci siamo trovate bene ed è la seconda volta che ci torniamo

It's in downtown Salerno. It has a lift,(elevator), very important. Owner is courteous and friendly. He helped us with directions and suggestions. Comfortable and clean

Bed & Breakfast situato in un elegante palazzo storico con vista stupenda sul porto di Salerno. Camere eleganti, luminose, pulite e dotate di bagno in camera e aria condizionata. Il servizio è stato impeccabile e il proprietario si è sempre dimostrato gentile e pronto a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta o necessità . In definitiva un esperienza fantastica da ripetere e che consiglio senza riserve!
