It's about $60 per night for four people to share a private room, which worked well for my small group. Drinks in the bar are cheap, though I'd avoid the red wine as it's pretty rough stuff. Bartender is friendly and upbeat, as is the nighttime desk clerk. Blocks from the central train station, a short walk to museums, parks, and the Colosseum. Lots of shopping and food nearby. The restaurant next door is good. I recommend comfortable shoes and exploring the city on foot. Mixed crowd in the bar, I didn't feel out of place as a middle aged married woman, though there was plenty of younger folks.

The advertised pub crawl looked a little steep in price at 20 euro, but we had fun exploring the area on our own. The hostel offers plenty of activities from bar hopping to tours. I recommend this place.

The rooms are warm and the beds all right (clean and comfortable enogh for me). The staff deligent and kind even though aparently not too enthusiastic. The breakfast is ok. There are clean toilets and showers with hot water, which for me is escential. They give out a free maps of the city with which I was able to orient myself without problem.

Good rooms and breakfast. There aren't bathrooms in the room. They don't have laundry either. The location is pretty good.

Alessandro Palace Hostel and Bar is first and foremost a party hostel, with parties and events being organized every night, you're not going to have any dull moment.

Despite being a hostel, they have a mini gym if you want to expiate for all the pizza that you'll be having in Rome; they also have a rooftop where you can relax and drink your own beer.

I really loved the people and the staff of the place. For a common room, they have a rooftop and for meeting people they have their awesome night parties with pub crawls, karaoke, beer pong competitions. They also have people from other hostels join them so that you can meet people from all across Rome.

I'd definitely suggest booking the hostel.

Staff was helpful, bathrooms were a little tight, rooms were ok. Everything was kept pretty clean and the price was super cheap. Would definitely revisit. Price for the value was worth it.

Good clean rooms with nice enough beds. Great bar on roof. Staff were efficient to the point of being unwelcoming. I think they have had to deal with some tough/drunk guests over the years?

I stayed here for 3 nights on my first trip to Rome. The location was very easy to get to from Termini Station (the central transport location in Rome). The staff were very friendly, and made my stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean, and they had plenty of bathrooms. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Rome.

An OK hostel.good location.freindly staff. But beds are too small and make huge noise even I moved my finger. Very normally waking up a couple of times during the night. Everything else is great!!
3.5 rating is more accurate. Good sleep is really important

By faaaar the best stay ever in the history of hostels in my life not only by the hostel itself but because people there were all so friendly and open to making new friends that I had a great time. I even made a BEST FRIEND THERE. Besides the hostel is only 2 blocks away from Roma Termini the main station and it is very convenient to go and come everywhere. Loved it.
