If you know Rome and the area around Termini, this is a 5 star stay. Many of the reviews on here are clearly first time travelers. As with any Italian train station (this hotel is 3 blocks away) the surrounding area can be gritty. However, I have never felt unsafe. The rooms are small and dated, but very clean and the staff was very kind and accommodating. If you know the area and are comfortable, it's well worth it.
Very pleasant 4 night stay. All the staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!!
First time in Rome and this hotel is a little gem, not to in the middle of everything but right next to the termini train station so easy access to the airport and to the subway. Lovely room, only thing i would say is that the shower was very small, so when not washing hair (for the ladies!) You ended up getting damp hair which was annoying and we wished we would have asked to get a room with a bigger shower at the start of our trip, but apart from that small thing it was perfect for all our needs!
Great hotel! The staff is very accommodating and sweet. The rooms are spacious and well kept as well. but the neighborhood does not reflect all of the good things this hotel has to offer.
Reasons for the deductions: compared to the US and France, the office staff can be very direct, so much so that some people might consider it rude. They skimp on some hotel amenities like pens, pencils, notepads. They also require your room key for the main power switch, this is a bit of a nuisance since we can cool down our room while we are away or power our tablet. Also the room is very small and the walls are fairly thin making it easy to hear neighbors after midnight. Had a hard time getting the room door to shut all the way.
Reasons for the stars: nice clean room, prompt service when we had an issue, centrally located, free breakfast, spoke English and Italian.
Excellent, friendly service. Clean and well designed rooms.
Clean comfortable room 106, next to the elevator. Did not hear it at all during the night. Shower was great. Staff was great helped arrange a tour of the Vatican and a cab to the airport. Area is close to the main train station but not the greatest area in Rome. Breakfast was good. excellent way to start the day.
We upgraded to the best superior room. Whilst it was lovely it was situated away from the hotel by 50-60 mtrs or so in an apartment block.
It was like being in a serviced room than a hotel.
You had to walk along the street to the hotel services such as reception or breakfast which was odd.
Great if you want seclusion and total privacy.
Breakfast had a great choice of menu.
So close to Termini. Comfortable and quiet rooms. The breakfast is also great.
Awesome location. Great staff. Comfortable and clean bed. Could be a little quieter though. We were on the 3rd floor and could hear the trucks and cars on the street even with the window completely shut.
Plentiful buffet breakfast.
Would definitely recommend.
