Basic food, same as what you'd get from a burger van in a layby in the UK, with the exception of the lamb soup which was made fresh that morning. Don't be fooled into thinking that would make it cheap though! Don't forget to go visit the black beach, you wouldn't know it was there as signs and roadside marketing in general in Iceland are almost non-existent.

Did you know that it is common in Iceland to get free refills on soups? I didn’t know, but apparently it’s true. I had the lamb soup and it was delicious. Not the best restaurant in Vik, right? But after a long day driving through bad weather it hits the spot. And I got a free second bowl of stew.

Basic gas station restaurant but a welcome stop on a road trip. Lamb soup was good and a generous portion. Great views of the black sand beach as well.

Quick, Easy regular chipper! Went in here as part of a tour as ice cave was too busy to order, very cheap compared to other surroundings! But don’t get me wrong you do get what you paid for!

If you are a tourist, do not stop here, you are not welcome. The short chubby guy at the coffey counter rolled his eyes, made faces and said "aah, tourists" in a very offensive way, when we didn´t understand what more he wanted from us when ordering. We walked out.

Overcrowded and pricy, paid a premium but we had to clean our table. The order system is not electric and went wrong for me, 10 other people got a head off me even though I ordered before them, bathroom seems clean though.

I don't suggest this place. The staffs were so stressed and I had to wait so long for my food and it was NOT good and not that worth. Also, the place doesn't look nice.

Cafeteria style restaurant but a good selection. Definitely one of the cheaper options in Vik and probably the best value. I had the lamb chops and they were quite good. Wife had the lamb goulash which was also tasty. No frills but good food at good prices.

The food tastes very average! The vegetarian burger was ok! We ordered 3 things and the service only calculated two! :D We had to wait very long and then need to get a seat in the overcrowded guest area. The soda and water is for free so it was kinda good! OVERCROWDED!!! There are better restaurants in this region!

We stop here at 2.30pm for lunch and it was crazy busy as three coaches were there. There were long queues for toilet and restaurant. The order was taken efficiently and food served quickly but the quality is lacking. The fish stew which cost 2200kr was not really to my taste. Fish and chip cost at 1900kr was basically three big fish fingers with chips. It would be better to buy hot dogs from the shop counter.

Can you imagine of a delicious burger for only 1300 Icelandic krona? Plus the great view of the sea. The people here are all very friendly. Why would I rate it under 5 star?!

Not great. I ordered the lamb goulash and was very glad I did as it was already prepared and ready to be plated up, so I got my food quicky. Unfortunately, my partner had asked for a chicken burger which had to be made up. By the time she even got her food, I had been finished eating for 5 minutes. Terribly slow service, especially considering that it's supposed to be a quick stop.

That said, it is a small diner and very inexpensive, though you really do only get what you pay for. The food was okay, but nothing special. Staff seemed like they would have been friendly if they weren't under so much pressure. And hell mend you if you want to use the ladies room when a coachload of tourists pulls in. Would be a lot less stressful to just p**s yourself.

The food here is decent. Cheap and fast. A busload of tourists got here around the same time we did but we got our food relatively quick. The fish stew was filling.

Literally had to wait for 40 minutes for a single order of hamburger. I was ahead of more than 50 people yet they were served first!
I asked what happened to my order and this rude redhead lady serving the food said she doesn't know! WTF?
This place is not organized! The staff is not professional.
They said they're going to make it and have me wait for another 10 minutes. Ain't nobody got time for that! Had to ask for my money back. I used a credit card and was given cash instead. Now i had to pay for Foreign Transaction fee for nothing. Definitely not recommended unless you only order fries in which you get priority service!
