Amazing ambience!! The food was amazing and very generous proportions. Average cost for Iceland. The hosts/servers/owners were extremely polite and prompt with explaining the different food items on the menu.

So yummy!! We had a veggie pizza and it was delicious! Very fresh ingredients. The meringue dessert was one of the best I’ve ever had! Seriously so good that I was half tempted to lick my plate (lol). The brownie dessert was also phenomenal. Definitely would go back! The only thing was that our waitress didn’t check with us to see how the food was at all.

The service here was the friendliest we have recieved in Iceland so far, which i appreciate so much as a clueless tourist 😂 Amazing views of the beach and super cute town from the table. The seafood soup and bread were extremely good, and the brownie and espresso beverages for dessert were as well. If you're in the area I recommend getting lunch here.

By Iceland standards, this was a decently priced restaurant with delicious food. Apparently, everyone else visiting Vik also got the memo because this place was packed! I would recommend arriving before 6 PM to avoid a wait.

We ordered a pizza and breadsticks to share, but they have more unique options (at a much higher price, of course).

My husband and I came here for lunch and it was so good! We shared the lamb and it was so tender and delicious. We sat at a table with a view of the coast and it was a very nice experience. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Iceland :)

Seafood soup is a fresh tomato broth with a kiss of cream and hot chili oil. It is full of haddock, squid, muscles, crab, bell peppers, onions, and carrots. Like no other soup I've had. Very delicious and guaranteed to warm you up.

Came here after a long rainy day of hiking and adventuring, it was the perfect ending. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was quick and very friendly.

I had the seafood soup and my boyfriend had the pan-fried char, it was one of the best meals we ate in our whole trip!

Absolutely loved this place. We both had mushroom soup to start which was served within 2 minutes of ordering, then we made our own pizza as we didn't fancy any off the menu as we're both vegetarian which wasn't a problem for the chef at all, and we shared breadsticks with garlic butter and sweet potato fries. All of the food was amazing, so much tastier than the usual food in England. The waitress was very attentive with happy smiles and full of useful information. I would highly recommend this place!

Food was very good! Staff is friendly. We tried Panang curry with vegetables. Absolutely delicious! They customised the dish for us as we don’t eat meat. Highly recommend the place

Wow! This place checked all the boxes. The food itself was tremendous. All four dishes we ordered were just amazing. The servers were very polite and patient, even though we walked in about 45 minutes before they closed. There was a good variety in the menu, including drink options too. The bill was reasonably priced as well. I could not be more happy with our choice of meals this night.

Pretty much the best food around Vik. The atmosphere is cosy and variety of food is excellent. Perfect for a stop over lunch on your way passing through or for dinner after a tiring day of activities around the area!

Great restaurant. Perhaps the best in Vík. Very crowded as there are many tourists in town and not so many restaurants. Great choices of beers.

Real surprise in the middle of South Iceland. The food was excellent, lamb, beef, soups Everything fresh and excellent quality. Staff is very fast and nice. Food was coming out from kitchen in perfect timing and order. You will not be sorry if you come to dine here. The prices around expected average of Iceland.

The restaurant is in the first floor of the house. We didn't have to wait for a table for two but this is probably because we don't travel in main season. The restaurant is very cozy and the staff is very attentive and friendly. We ordered the mozzarella cheesesticks as starter and the steak sandwich as main order. The sandwich was well-topped and both dishes were delicious. We would recommend you to visit the restaurant :)

In a town that does not offer a lot of options, this restaurant was just what we were looking for. A quaint cozy little restaurant unlike any I have ever been to. When you check in the waiting room is downstairs and the dining area is upstairs. It definitely has the feel of a house converted into a restaurant.

The food was warm and delicious, which was perfect on such a cold wet day. This place added to the experience of visiting the black sand beach and Vik.

Awesome food. Service doesn't fit the great chef, but normal for Iceland. They're getting us fed and doing a great job of it. And be real -- your in Iceland. Arctic Charred and Lamb and call it a day. Do u see cows out there on the road? Say no to the burger. It's there way of welcoming u but run. Stick to what's local and it will not disappoint. And for your picky eater -- pizza is great but how lame on u for ordering.

Great restaurant and very friendly staff. We had pizza and wine after chasing Puffins for a good part of the day. Was a wonderful experience!

WHAT a gem in the town of Vik. The restaurant is in an old schoolhouse at which some of the locals attended kindergarten. The char, fished out of their largest lake, was sublime while the lamb was the best we've had. Desserts and coffee were great as well but the place's best assets are the amazing people who work here and wait on you with smiles and make you feel at home.

I had a great meal here while passing through. Sadly, their pizza oven was broken during our visit, but we were still able to have some excellent food paired with a great Icelandic beer.

We arrived just for drinks, my boyfriend and I each got a beer. The service was wonderful! Everyone was so nice and attentive. Ambience was lovely. Beer was great and we also ended up getting their brownie sundae which was delicious!

There aren't too many restaurants in Vik and the ones that are there are expensive, so know that before coming here. We couldn't find a menu online and there is not one to view prior to being seated, so fair warning. However, my food was spectacular! I got the steak sandwich and it had the most deliciously seasoned, sliced steak, onions, bell pepper, pickles, and mushrooms. It cost about $23, and if I had to pay that much for a sandwich, it would be that one. My husband got a chicken plate that came with a side salad and sweet potato fries. It was about $32 and he said it was good, but mine was much better especially for the price.

It's table side service, and they had beer, wine, and spirits. The staff was super nice. The gentleman helping us took the time to discuss the best places to see with the table next to us.

Good food but prepare for a wait to be seated!
Vik is a small town with a limited amount of restaurants which means that the place is probably always busy. We had to wait about one hour to get seats but to be fair I must mention that the place is not that big and we were a party of 8.
Service and food was good when we finally got our table.

Came back to this restaurant twice! Had both the lamb and the rib eye. Possibly the best restaurant in all of Iceland. Its not cheap but everything in Iceland is expensive. Staff are friendly. We managed on both occasions to enter without reservation. Restaurant becomes full quite easily, so make sure you book in advance as there is a waiting room full of hungry people.

Between four people, we had the asparagus soup to start, and for mains we had steak sandwiches and grilled chicken. The asparagus soup was delicious but the mains were nothing spectacular. Given that your options are pretty limited in Vik I would recommend this place. The staff are super friendly and are very accommodating

Very cosmopolitan restaurant given its location in a small but beautiful village in the middle of the south shore of Iceland. Excellent food over a wide range of styles catering for tourists and locals. The local police came in to eat on the second night we dined. Local food was on the menu as well as pizza and they presented me a birthday cake for my 61st celebrations.

We had to wait up to an hour to get inside- it's super popular and we know why- great food, great staff and a lovely ambience. We had the chicken curry which was great, the soup of the day was asparagus- well cooked, and we had some cheese sticks for starters. One of us is a vegetarian, so they changed te steak sandwich to a vegetarian one and it was good too. The best part though- the brownie with ice cream- fantastic! And their take away boxes are cool too. Go for it!
