Not worth the money. 30 minutes of info and a terrible presentation. The guide seemed bored when telling us about the plant.

Provides a high level overview of the steam cycle of geothermal energy production. You can only really see the turbine and generator housings of several of the units. I would have liked to of the plant but I may be the exception to the usual tourist because I work at a power plant back home. The exhibit also had parts of turbine blades and rock drills on display. The walls showed pictures and depictions of the volcanic and geothermal activity in the past and present of the region.

It’s an informative discussion that lasts 30 mins. You don’t actually see any of the power station infrastructure which was a big disappointment. Overall not worth the money for information you can find on YouTube.

The location itself is very scenic. We had a little incident on our hands while here but the staff handled us quickly and smoothly. I recommend. Also very quiet on Saturdays.

Expected a bit more for the price (although I am an engineer so maybe my expectations were too high). Cool to see, but you can learn more about the plant from their website, articles, etc. Still an interesting sight!

Very interesting but very expensive! If you're interested in physics this the place for you, there are lots of models and videos available and access to see the geothermal energy generators. Visited on a rainy day, turned it to be expensive with 3 adults and one child. Staff were attentive but playing on phones behind the desk.

Was expecting more. Went these in December and it was empty. Like only two cars in the visitor lot. Ask for a guided tour and said that is not available unless its a big group. WHAT? So just walked around the 2nd and 3rd floor myself with automated system talking. Outdoor observation was off limit. Was hoping to have a better view of geothermal. Everything I learn on site I could have found on the internet. Not worth 15 USD IMO, not for the effort they have put into this "virtual tour"

Very knowledge presenter. Has bathrooms, cafe, outdoor observation platforms. Gift shop. Good presentation on a very technical topic. Must visit.

The exhibit is small but very informative and well made. The videos are of high production value. When you leave, you leave with a feeling of wanting to know why there are not more geothermal plants around the planet.

Nice and interesting experience. Very informative with a lot of historical references regarding geothermal heat and water. It's worth a visit for about an hour, not more. Probably not that interesting for children.

We stopped here for about half an hour as part of a tour so we had a guide in the museum. We didn't see everything but I felt like we were able to see most of it in the half hour. Really interesting to understand how Iceland gets its heat and changed the way we understood how things work here. The exhibits are well-designed and interesting, though having a guide really helped get the most out of the exhibits.

It was great and very informative, but it seemed a bit small for how much it cost. Also, I expected to than I did. I'm not sure how they could fix this, but I hope they find a way. On the plus side, the tour guides were very nice and knowledgeable. If your goal is to just learn about geothermal power production then you will without a doubt walk away having accomplished that goal.

If you want to know how geothermal works then go there very interesting! I really suggest even though it is quite far at least you will see the countryside with of these huge pipe s or hot water.

It is an interesting tour to know about geothermal energy, The Exhibition is presented via wall displays and presentations. Their staff are so impressive and informative, also guide visitors through the exhibition. A comprehensive look into geothermal utilisation. Very educational.

This was a really interesting tour. The geothermal plant plays a large role in the culture of Iceland by providing electricity and hot water. The people love their heated public swimming pools. I found it a bit cold for a swim but you should visit them and there source.
