If I say that out of 10 nights in Iceland, I was in this hostel for 5 nights!
If you're going to Iceland you would definitely have to visit Selfoss and accommodate yourself at this place!
Clean rooms, comfortable and cosy lounge and kitchen is outstanding!

Best hostel experience I had in Iceland. Great kitchen and eating area, comfortable beds, very welcoming. A bit of a drive off Route 1 but well worth it.

Stayed one night in a tent in the yard, full access to the dining room with TV, bathroom, canteen (well equipped and in separate building) and WiFi was provided and for standard camping price. Payment cards of major systems are accepted. Hosts are friendly.

The most friendly host I've ever encountered. The location on Google maps is off by about 100 meters. But there aren't too many buildings in the area so just look around and you'll see it. Look for the swing-set in the front yard. The WiFi doesn't reach the entire building, and it's better in a few rooms than others. The kitchen is well equipped (in a separate building). Beds are comfortable and everything was clean. There isn't much in terms of activities in the area, it's a quiet getaway away from a lot of the busy touristy area. Perfect for a night or two.
