After driving around through small town after small town, looking for somewhere that was open after 9pm on a Saturday night we were happy to come across this quaint restaurant. We felt awful/rude walking in so close to closing time but the owner told us it not a worry for us to order food. This definitely beat the random snack food in the back seat of our car. The mozzarella sticks were delicious with the battered coating. We ordered a pizza as well with very unique and delicious flavors. It all hit the spot and we left very satisfied.

The BEST mushrooms soup I ever tried. I promise!
The bar is quite authentic and the owner? was so friendly.

food is awesome.. come for their meals!!
Tried their Targesen pizza which was recommended and it is really good and very generous toppings. Mixed salad and soup of the day too were very good.

Too noisy from the restaurant downstares if you get a room in the main building. I was not sure the linens were fresh, looked like used. On a positive side - there is a water sink in the room, and you don't have to look for a place to eat - it's downstares. The view from the window was amazing.

Very nice staff and clean rooms. Breakfast was good and the restaurant that is in the building serves one of the best "book makers" toasts I've eaten. The showers and toilets that are shared was clean and more modern in style compared to the rooms.

The area surrounding the place is beautiful, but you can't see any of it from where you sit.
The menu is an a la carte, including pizzas. I chose one that contained fries and bearnaise, with ground beef and camembert cheese. Unfortunately it tasted mostly of fries, which wasn't a hit.
The beer menu is very standard, you will find lagers and stouts from well known breweries, but one, which is a lager brewed for the restaurant specifically. However, it tastes exactly like a Gull lager, so there's nothing special about it other than the label and it being in a bottle.

A delightful little restaurant with great character. Our hostess enthusiastically told us all about the 147 year history of the place before serving up a yummy steak sandwich & burger - would recommend!

Very friendly and helpful service. They upgraded us from a shared washroom to a private one at no additional cost. The room itself was clean and comfy as was the bathroom. We had pizza and an omelette for dinner there, both of which tasted great. There is a gas station right across and a grocery store a minute away as well as an amazing view.

The place is nice, quiet and the comfiest bed and pillow in Iceland so far! Tried their large pizza (half BBQ chicken / half seafood) & it was amazing!!! Nice ambiance, great service, excellent food, amazing room, perfect bathroom (it's ginormous). The lady who handled everything, Sandra, was so nice and even upgraded my room! Respect!

Korzystaliśmy tylko z restauracji. Prawdziwie islandzki klimat. Spokojne ciche miasteczko.

In this old house, who have served many purposes through out the years, but it is over 100 years old, you can get the best Pizza east of Reykjavík. Very good pizza and other light meals are OK but the pizza is the thing you should go for..
