The breakfast is unexpectedly good using fish netting from the fjord, with dessert even.
The owner was nice and friendly, we checked in at kl22 after a long day.
Rooms at ground have to share bathroom though. Overall it's recommendedresponse / report this review -

Stay away from this crappy hostel. They overcharged my credit card and the rooms are dirty as ditch. It is run by an old fat ass and his son is playing Xbox in the moldy lobby!

Very nice hotel, had the most comfortable beds during our trip in Iceland. The owner was very helpful in suggesting attractions and dining options nearby

Karvel (the "management") is a condescending, inflexible, self-entitled owner of this "hotel" and he's impossible to deal with. If you look at his AirBnB reviews, there are multiple that make clear that he's not running a 'real hotel' and that if you don't arrive early enough, he'll deny you access and ignore your request for a refund. When I was delayed because of the weather, he had no problem telling me to sleep in my car.

Our worst stay in Iceland. Breakfast was not included and the rooms were certainly not worth the price. The only reason to stay here is if you don't have a choice.

Clean bathroom, soft beds, and a fabulous view of the mountains. Hotel owner was friendly and even stayed up past the usual desk hours as we were running late. Breakfast included.
