I had the opportunity to visit this property in May 2017, and I had an unforgettable experience riding horses to a beautiful waterfall. The horses were so well behaved and the ride was smooth. The staff did an excellent job of leading the group, keeping everyone encouraged and calm, and teaching us about the area and the traditions surrounding the Icelandic horses

I'm not an experienced rider but I've done a lot of trail riding around the world (because my partner loves to ride). This was the best trail riding I've ever done. The scenery was unbeatable and the horses were so well trained! The tölt is incredible! Thank you Linn and Nicole for a fantastic ride! You took care of the two beginners in our group and created opportunities for our experienced friends.

Not recommendable! We were a small group of 4 people + guide. The Tour took us along the main street to the black sand. This is where everything went wrong. Horses got nervous, guide started yelling at people and horses and kicked the "misbehaving" horse from a standing position , while holding its reins tight. The rest of the horses got nervous and were not easy to handle. Due to quick Sand we had to ride back again, without actually reaching the black Sand And the Tour is called 'Black Sand' but you will only See the Street! Someone should have told us before. Choose another one.

Visited Skálakot in mid-Oct 2013 witthe family. Had a great ride with just the four of us and our guide. The horses were so gentle and friendly. Really cute dog, who was shy at firstbut then was extremely friendly and playful.
Great location with stunning scenery. Highly recommend it for a short hour ride or an extended trip!

A fun day riding the Icelandic horses on the farm.

This is located just off the main '1' ring road on the south of the island.
