One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the bun was a donut! Seriously awesome. The one my partner ordered was as terrible as mine was good though, so order carefully.

Went there for dinner one night towards the end of our trip. It seemed only slightly cheaper than other places, but with 3 burgers and 4 alcoholic drinks it was still around 14.100 krone. The side of ranch I ordered was 275 itself, and note to any Americans, it's not the kind of ranch you're used to. The ranch tasted almost like an onion dip of some sort. It wasn't bad, but had I known I'd be paying such a price for something that shouldn't be called ranch, I would have passed.
The food was pretty good. I ordered the mac and cheese burger and really liked it. The mac definitely made it, as the meat was pretty standard tasting. We did wait a little bit for our food, and one of the servers walking around did apologize when it finally came out.
Overall Roadhouse is a good place for some fairly creative burgers. It is the most expensive meal we have had thus far, but I am betting the 14.100 krone is a decent price considering what we got.response / report this review -

It may seem crazy to be American and go to an American restaurant in Iceland, but Roadhouse was a great place with great drinks and food. Everything was delicious and the restaurant is pretty big, so expect to find seating at any time. The staff is really friendly as well, with quick service. If you need a burger fix and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, stop at Roadhouse.

The burgers are splendid, fries are good, crispy and thick. A little bit expensive like all restaurants in Iceland, but very cozy and nice otherwise if you like the American type of burger joints. Servers are friendly. They also had a pretty interesting white pale ale.

American style diner. Burger was cooked well (medium well-done) but it was just about warm, two minutes from being cold. Very disappointing as we had to wait a long time to get our order. Our food was set down down in takeaway boxes so we had to request plates that every other customer had. Portions are on the smaller side so you would need something extra to fill yourself up.

Love this place and have been here each afternoon/evening! The excessive frequency of my visits are due to not only to the proximity of where I'm staying for 3 nights, but the friendly staff, great food, and good specials. It's reasonable for Reykjavik, and the vibe is awesome. They even have a very large group special section with a massive round table (reservation recommended for that). Check out the happy hour specials, the Tales from the Crypt pinball machine, and lounge area in the bar if you just want to chill. Mostly blues playing for music, with the occasional ABBA and Queen, which is all good in my book! Great for pretty much any crowd honestly. Some veggie options but also some interesting side dishes, too. Thank you guys for a couple great days and a memorable experience.

This was by far the best burger I have ever had. Better than just that, it was accompanied by the best onion rings I have ever had. If we'd been in Reykjavik for a bit longer, we'd definitely have been going back! Highly recommend.

USA-style decoration, very chilled place to start a night in Reykjavík. They do happy hours on beer too. Was on holiday with some friends in Reykjavík and we decided to eat here after reading all the reviews. It was a bit late in the evening when we got there so the place was a bit empty and we didn't have to wait to be seated. The staff was nice to us all the time and the food was amazing. Burgers were tasty and the cheese fries were out of this world. It's not cheap but when you compare to other places in Reykjavik is quite accessible. I've paid 3200 IKR for a empire state building burger with fries and a pint of Viking (happy hour price).

The spirit of USA "bar food" cuisine is present, even if the accuracy of the combinations is a near miss. The mac & cheese was gourmet and the burger topping. This initially seemed odd, until I considered the pulled pork topped burgers or breakfast burgers that are common specials back home. Well done guys!

Very tasty veggy burger. Greasy but amazing fries. 4 star because the restaurant randomly serves me either vegan or vegetarian burger when I order vegetarian. Both are good but one is better than the other. Recommended.

Delicious burgers. Got the Empire State and the Texas Mac & Cheese. Cooked perfectly. Only downside is that it's pretty expenaive, but decent for iceland standards

Amazing burger (BB King) and crazy crispy yet fluffy in the middle fries. The meat was medium-rare as standard and the bun + toppings excellent.

Not been here for over 2 years, when I went there tonight the food was nothing special, got a bacon burger with fries. The burger was a bit on the raw side, the bacon burnt and the fries were not very good. I did eat the whole burger, mainly because I was hungry, left some of the fries. I hope this was just one time mistake because the other times I have bern here the food has been good.

Give this place a try, you might like it. I was a little skeptical about Icelandic BBQ, but trust me, the food is pretty good. 2,395 for 1/2 rack of baby back ribs (big portion) plus well made fries and fennel cole slaw. My barometer is if it tastes good as well as if it's satisfying. This place qualifies both. Oh, I got great service at the bar.

Friendly reception, even when we didn't have a reservation on a Saturday at 6pm. Place was packed but they managed to find us a table. Great food, very tasty and, for Iceland, very reasonable prices. Without any doubt probably the best place to grab a burger on the entire island.

Great Chips/french fries, some of the best I've ever tasted.
Easy to find location.
Great selection of burgers.
Meat is cooked Medium rare so let them know when ordering if you wish it to be cooked more.
Was a long wait for table, similar to every other restaurant in Reykjavik, even though there is A LOT of space and tables available inside. This was a common theme in all restaurants in Reykjavik.response / report this review -

The burger was tasty. Good, but not amazing. Nice crust on the meat and the fillings were fine but the bun was only ok. The chips seem triple cooked. They're pretty greasy. But no regrets. It's a quite serviceable place to eat.
