Service was not great. Food was expensive even for Icelandic standards. Supposedly viking themed, some interesting decor.
Food was okay. My pasta was meant to have lobster tails but had shrimp instead - possibly a translation error.
Fun Viking theme and friendly staff.
I looooooved it! Viking themed restaurant! Great menu staff and food! With traditional viking music.
the food was amazing.. i love their pumpkin soup and lobster tail kinda thing.. The restaurant have a show of viking, live music, and cozy ambiance.. I have my last dinner with all friend at iceland here in ths restaurant.. Unforgetable moment..
Brilliant place, free parking, traditional food amazing
Lovely little town. Hotel a bit tired but nice. Eating out very expensive
Great place to sample authentic Islandic food! I went with the sampler appetizer dish which covers MOST of the exotic dishes (shark, coagulated blood, dried fish, whale, pork, lamb - most were pickled, and a couple of other "normal" sides. To wash down the sample, the appetizer came with a shot of Brennivín, aka. Black Death. I had the salted fish for entree and found it average. Dessert was Skyr with blueberry sauce and sherbet. It had a sweet and sour taste to it so I enjoyed it. Our waiter, Veekin (sp?) was super nice and helpful. Price was definitely up there but worth it to try it once in your lifetime.
Lovely scenery ,lovely snow I fully enjoy
Super cool atmosphere that's worth checking out, food was decent enough. I really liked that the waitresses also dressed the part.
Amazing restaurant. Very traditional and fun.
This place are only trying to get the most money out of the tourist. Not worth the time or money! I loved this place before, don't know what happened to the place!
The whale was the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.
Brilliant restaurant. A lot of effort to bring an authentic Viking experience in a huge building, without it being gimmicky. They have a Viking menu of sheep head, whale, and other local delicacies but we ordered the lobster pasta and ribs. Whist it was being prepared we explored the rest of the building. There was so much detail that no part was undecorated. The ribs were the best I've ever tried and the service was friendly.
Pretty good. The ambiance is what you have to come here. The food is not something crazy but the price also are a little bit less expensive than the rest of Iceland.
The waitresses are very good looking and dressed like old islandic style and there is a guy in old leather outfit that sing around old Icelandic song and messing around with a sword. 5 for the ambiance and 3 for the food. That make a four.
I loved this restaurant, I could walk around for hours just looking at all the cool stuff they had on the walls. The food was excellent as well. I will definitely go back. I have some pictures as well. I will post them later.
Vikings were here first and still are. Attend their festivals. It's like a restored village and artifacts. Fun to visit.
Had the viking feast good food. Very nice atmosphere. there was a singing viking wandering around. The actual building is amazing. Stayed in the viking hotel opposite. Overall a great experience - worth the trip if you are visiting Iceland
