We were there in May and it was pretty deserted. Probably much more popular in summer month(s). The steam baths looked nice and clean, as did the lockers. The main pool was also steamy and looked pleasant. The surrounding cliffs are both pretty and afford a great view of the water. Lots of walking and biking trails cross nearby so you can easily get there from the surrounding neighborhood or park in the big pay lot next to the park.

A little paradise with golden sand,geothermal beach,close to ocean ,grass and rocks etc.You can enjoy hot tubs,steam bath,changing facilities with showers;sailing and sea swiming.Geothermal water and cold sea fuse together resulting high temperatures inside of lagoonaround 15-19°c in summer.Entrance is 600kr for adults and free for kids.You can rent towels,swimwear and eat in a cosy place.Definitely on of the most beautiful place in Reykjavik area.

Really nice beach, the kids were happy to swim in the sea and they could warm up in the hot tub in between. The hot tup closes on weekends at 16:00.

Interesting mini-beach which forms a natural bowl with a seawall separating the beach from the sea (fjord). Has a hot spring fed spa pool on the beach and and foot spa pool in front of the building. Facilities and spabaths currently not open in winter months. Beach accessible year round. Is on the coastal path and close to the Perlan and Reykjavik airport.

Friendly place with hot steam pool outside, especially recommended during cold months. For hot-loving there is wet sauna 45°C and for extreme-loving there's sea with temperature around 0°C. From steam bath or sauna you have to walk across the snow to the sea, but if you don't have special footwear, there is a tub with warm water inside the sea, so you can warm up your feet before and after swimming.

Best place in Reykjavik for a swim.. bath in spring Walter and then hit the ocean!!😜😜 Very good! Showers available for after, all for free!! Loved it❤️❤️

At Nauthólsvík Beach dip into the geothermal hot sitting pool! You are surrounded by locals. The area is sheltered. The view of the area is great. The more adventurous can dip into the bay where the hot geothermal water mixes with the cold Atlantic. The use of the dressing room and toilet is free. The dressing room has hot showers. There is a small concession on site as well.

Very nice beach hot pot! You can enjoy the hot water and jump into the sea to cool down again! Perfect location to finish a long day and relax! And it's free! Just go there and enjoy!

Such an awesome place!!! We've spent almost four hours in here on a Saturday! between freezing sea, hot bath and steam room!
Feeling so relaxed and refreshed! Totally worth paying a visit! They do serve tea and coffee, but if you bring a thermos and a cup, you can sip your own hot drink while enjoying the hot bath 🛀 :)

A clean and well maintained beach, but the real attraction is the geothermal hot bath and steam room.

If you're a tourist and you have neoprene boots & gloves then be sure to take them with you as the tradition is to swim 100 lengths in the Atlantic and then submerge yourself into the hot bath. The boots & gloves are very important to protect your extremities from the cold and sharp rocks.

If you're not used to sea swimming (please stay within your limits as the sea is not to be trifled with) then on the beach there's a lagoon that's both much closer to the hot tub and is a few welcome degrees warmer.

Sit back, relax, soak up the social culture, and start a conversation. You'll find the locals are very friendly and welcoming.

It is a truly unique beach! Imported yellow sand to sit on, with a geothermal steam room and hot tub. The hot tub water feeds a (much) cooler shallow pool on the water's edge and also the semi enclosed bay. I did mot swim as.far as the harbour being a.aofty tourist! The cafe is nice and does a good coffee too.
