This is one of the top restaurants in Iceland run by a food fanatic who prepares unusual dishes using as much local produce as possible. If you meet him you will be immediately engaged in his life as a chef and be told about the quality of the food he will be serving. We booked a table and returned in the evening for a feast. Yes it is expensive even for Iceland but you will not be disappointed. I had the 3 course taster which consisted of whale (really like steak in texture), reindeer (very lovely meat flavour) and wild goose (one of my favourites). It isn’t a big place as a restaurant although there is a bigger cafe as well.

So, where should I start It was the best meal we had in a while. We were in the restaurant, not the bistro part.
The Arctic char was perfect, melting in the mouth, tasty, with tasty sauces and crispy home bread.
The lamb was - perfect, for lack of a better word. Tender and tasty, with nice looking and nice tasting side dishes.
The owner / cook evidently takes pleasure in cooking and took some time to explain us the origin of the ingredients (all local).
Can't speak about the dessert, we had enough with starter and main course.
So, For an improvised "we need to eat so let's stop somewhere", this was a highly pleasant surprise.

The best lamb ever. Tasty and so well cooked. We had a quick chat with the Chef. Icelandic chef working with fresh and local herbs, wild game and lamb. The char was very good too. Smoked by the chef! Great place!

Outside Reykjavik, good food options are scarce. This is probably one of the better places. Exorbitant prices, but at least the food is OK.

Awesome experience and EXCELLENT food! My buddies loved their soups and I enjoyed the reindeer burger.. would come back again if I’m back on the Golden Circle. Got some great advice on travel from staff.

Wonderful dinner and evening at Lindin! Great 3-course meal for a reasonable high-dining amount. Loved the lamb and lemon dessert! The chef also waited on us and was a delight! Recommend Lindin for a nice evening out both summer or winter-time.

Expensive and food was a bit bland. No AC in the place so it was a bit hot when we came- but that could have been right when it opened. They have two options bistro and restaurant, we went with bistro because we didn't know what to expect and didn't want to pay out 7000 for each meal (Bistro menu pictured). Ended up with artic char and a reindeer burger. Burger was bland and bread was stale quite sad considering the prices. Artic char was good but not over the top filling, again a bit subpar in flavour. Not much other choices, but might recommend the first place you see when u come into the park.

I enjoyed my meal quite a bit. Stopped in before hitting the spa and decided on the restaurant over the bistro. I think they encourage reservations but we were able to get seated with no problems. The food was tasty and well-prepared. I also suggest trying out the local beers. Excellent beer. I think it is worth it to go with the three course menu.

Average food and expensive for what it is. Reindeer burger was juicy but a little bland and the best of what we had. Chicken burger was not good, made with the mini fillets and dry. Frozen chips were like air. There's better out there on the golden circle - for example, the restaurants at geysir only a few minutes up the road.

Hard to find, but wonderfully cozy place outside of the main city. I had the pleasure of dining here in 2015 they offered some very unique and delicious dishes but finding the place was an obstacle. You park off the street into a small parking lot behind a few buildings. I had the venison, lamb, whale, and fish sampler and I was very satisfied with it!

Ate here after a visit to Fontana thermal pools (Blue Lagoon was booked out). There's a lunch buffet service at Fontana, but the place was so crowded that we decided to eat elsewhere, and I'm glad we decided to come here. We ordered the reindeer burger and Arctic char, both of which were delicious !

Drove through a blizzard touring the golden circle. Arrived here to enjoyed a lovely lunch! Burgers were great, service was prompt and very nice. So happy to have found this spot! Highly recommend
