We are a family of 4 and we booked the triple room for 1 night and the cottage (for 4) for another night as the triple room was not available for the 2nd night. Lindartun Guesthouse came highly recommended on expedia and also on tripadvisor. It was our most favourite accomodation among the 6 we stayed in Iceland. It was about 30km away from Sejialandfoss, is a 9km turn off the ring road. It is a good pit stop between Reykjavik and Sejialandfoss/Kerio crater lake/Dyrholaey black beach. There is nothing much near to the location, no supermarkets/petrol kiosk and all. We arrived late in the day and the staff was very nice to let us stay in the cottage for both nights and give us free breakfast for both days. The cottage is about 10m away from the main block of rooms, it has a lot of privacy and the bed in the room and the sofa bed can sleep 4 comfortably. The rooms and bathroom are extremely clean and the kitchen is well equipped too. The breakfast that was included was absolutely delicious and it has quite a lot to offer, cereals, yoghurt, bread, bread roll, crossiants, all kinds of jams, ham, cheese, tomatoes, tuna, fruit and the highlight for us the waffles. The waffles are self service and you can have as many as you like and it is highly recommended. The breakfast is very much welcome, given how expensive food can be in Iceland. The staff was the most accomodating and friendly. will recommend Lindartun guesthouse to anybody.

Best guesthouse of our trip to Iceland. Everything was perfect. We arrived late at night and the host made sure we got all the information we needed. Nice room, superb shared bathroom, very cosy and homey feel. Very very good breakfast. Totally recommend.

Great guesthouse just far enough from the main road. Very spacious rooms with private bathroom. Very comfy furniture all around. Great and tasy breakfast. Very kind host. Price-quality ratio is very decent. I would definetly recommend and I will come back again!

A really lovely guesthouse with an amazing breakfast. We booked in for 1 night into the private bungalow and then went off to Vik and Jokulsarón but checked in here again on our way back to Reykjavik. If conditions are right you can apparently see the Northern lights from here. Very nice owner family.

It was a lovely location and wished we could have stayed longer. The kids loved the horses on the premises. Also, we had to leave before breakfast but they made some takeaway food for us which we really appreciated.

Grande "guesthouse" très bien décorée, très confortable, bien entretenue et bien gérée, loin (mais pas trop) de la route 1. N'hésitez pas à vous lever un peu plus tôt pour profiter du petit dej ;) Parfait pour une halte d'un jour ou deux dans le sud de l'île.

The included breakfast was really nice and big (it included waffles and fruit, etc). Hospitality was great and wifi was fast.
