Favourite campsite in Iceland! Lovely staff, grounds and facilities are great and there is a hottub! A fantastic last place to stop on your tour of the island

I just drove an extra 100 km for this camping and it was worth every km! Just had the best shower ever. You learn to appriciate things a long the way.

Great camping option for those on their way in or out of Reykjavik. A bit pricier than other spots around the island (3500 isk for two people), but the large, well-equipped indoor kitchen/lounge area and clean, hot showers made up for the price. The winter availability is also a plus.

Perfect. There was a shared kitchen and you have to take your shoes off. There were also oil, salt, sugar and some other things you could need to cook. You can wash the dishes there.
There was WC and shower, so clean.

Great huge campsite with ample camping spaces both for tents only and for cars or camper vans as well.

Kitchen was well equipped with proper induction stoves, microwave, kettle, hot water dispenser. Toilets were free, but don't expect much though.

Nice area in the pantry with benches and tables for communal dining but quite a small space given the amount of campers on site, could definitely work on that. in the night, this space is just crowded with all sorts of campers and it's noisy, people playing cards, charging their stuff, drinking.

3000 ISK for two pax tent and a car. Best to stock up at this area as it's quite far from main town, but there is leftover stuff you can use from previous campers. Also a nice small pond/lake for swimming if you're up for it nearby the kitchen.

This was the best winter campground I had in Iceland. There is a nice large room for campers, a cooking area, and decent showers/bathrooms. Well worth using as a base to explore this part of Iceland in the winter. I know there are more options in other seasons but this one was my favorite in South, Southwest, and Western Iceland (March 2018).

Great campsite, the kitchen area was VERY useful and the showers were great.

We were disappointed that the hot tubs were not operational and also I was charged a different price both times we stayed here (3000 on the Monday, 3200 on a Thursday.. for two of us).

We stayed at this campsite for one night in mid-October. It costs 1500 kronas per person (roughly £10.50), which is the standard cost for most campsites in Iceland. For this you get a lot for your campervan or tent, access to unlimited hot showers and use of a communal cooking a dining room. The showers are a little dilapidated and moldy and are communal with no dividers. Those of a somewhat shy personality may find this uncomfortable. The kitchen area is great and has a heated floor. You should take your shoes off when entering, although the floor was not super clean. The kitchen has a number of hobs to cook on and there is a table with free food left by other campers. For many this campsite is their last stay in Iceland so their unrequired food is left here. There is also free wifi, which makes planning your next days adventuring easier! The main reason to visit this site, however, is the beautiful, playful and energetic cat. She really is a true Icelandic beauty - go visit her and share a saucer of milk with her!

Nice campground even though it's next to a big athletic field. It was neat to hear the families yelling and cheering for their kids. Showers and kitchen are nice and clean.

Though Selfoss itself is a place with few attractions, it is a great place to buy some groceries and equipment for your next stops. The campsite offers great opportunities to relax from your journey. It has everything you need: enough space, cooking places, electricity to charge your phone, free showers and wifi

There is a grassy field where you can set up your tent and a indoor kitchen/common area where you can cook food, and take shelter if conditions are bad. It's nothing fancy, but it does the job.
