Amazing view and we have visited this falls and mountain in the morning around 4am and the results were so amazing. This is one of the easily accessible waterfalls in Iceland.

Another beautiful part of Iceland and the scenery alone is worth 5 stars. Unfortunately, even in January the place was overrun by tourists (of which I was one!) ad the area was struggling to cope with the amount of buses arriving in the car park. I dread to think what it is like in the summer. I collected rubbish from both the car park and the beach and struggled to find a bin to put it in!

by far the most photographed mountain in Iceland because of its unique shape, easy to access from the main road, with a wide parking lot right in front of the waterfall Kirkjuffelfoss. A must-see spot in your ring-road-trip of Iceland.

Awesomeness. Incredible sight. Careful of the roads, got caught in snowstorm on the way back to Reykjavik, Could even see the front of the car let alone the road. Stranded for 3 hours. Still worth it. Never driving in Iceland again without a serious off road vehicle. 😊

Amazing, beautiful landscape. FREE. This mountain has an unusual trapezoid shape and stands isolated on the water, making it great for photos. You can take photos from the road side or at the nearby Kirkjufell waterfall which has a small parking lot. There is also a nearby town with spectacular views. It takes about two hours to drive here from Reykjavik, fortunately there are many small villages/gas stations along the way. There is no toilet/WC here. Not wheelchair accessible. I highly recommend a visit to this place, this was my second favorite site in Iceland (after the Glacier Lagoon).

Driving this far out of the way just to see and photograph the mountain and waterfall is excessive but you can easily make a day by hiking the mountain as well. The first half is a steep but manageable hike and the second half will challenge you and make use of some rock climbing skills. Guide reccomended, for skilled hikers only. Park in the waterfall parking lot and walk across the street towards the cabins at the base. You'll see a trail next to the electric fence that goes straight up the mountain.

Okay experience if you are nearby. Combination of waterfall and mountain make this attractive. However, neither waterfall nor mountain are standout sights in themselves and it can easily be a two hour detour from the ring

This iconic mountain stands by itself at the water's edge. It's often photographed with Kirkjufellfoss on the other side of the road. Looks most beautiful at sunrise and sunset when shades of pink appear on its slopes from the sunlight.
