As the previous review stated: definitely worth the detour! Doable with normal car but drive slow and take your time to take in the view. After visiting South, East and North Iceland it's great to still see another kind of landscape.

Great detour into otherworldly landscapes supposedly left by an enraged Berserker. The road is well traveled, and the center route lips you back to the main road.
