Very well maintained and reliable vehicles that work at its best in Iceland, even despite the fact they are only getting older (not manufactured anymore) the ISAK´s are still looking good.

We rented a rover in December a few years ago. I'm still trying to get back and drive one all across the country. They take you wherever you need to go.I would definitely rent one of those cars again next time I visit.

We rented a Land Rover in December and I have to say: these things take you wherever you need to go. If we would have wanted to drive to the top of a glacier, we could have. (I may be exaggerating slightly, but still).
I would definitely rent one of the beasts again.

Well maintained Defenders, excellent for off-road, snorkel does not stop you at rivers,helpful staff - great rentals if you know what you're looking for.

I have rented a Defender from both the Isak 4x4 rental and other rentals in Iceland on few occasions. In comparison, Isak has the best Defenders in my opinion, and I have only good things to say about their services. The cars are well maintained and perform well on the mountain tracks of Iceland. With the snorkel, you can safely cross the rivers on the F roads, and with studded tyres, you feel safer in winter conditions. The staff is very helpful and happy to give advice on where to go and what to see. They have roof racks and trailers to rent with the cars, which can come in handy for someone like me who usually carries a lot of equipment on my journeys. Some minor issues have come up with the cars, as can be expected with Land Rover Defenders, but the staff has always found a way to solve it within a reasonable time. In my opinion, if you want to rent a 4x4 Land Rover Defender, then Isak 4x4 is the best option in Iceland.expected with Land Rover, but the staff has always found a way to solve it within reasonable time. In my opinion, if you want to rent a 4x4 Land Rover Defender then Ísak is the best option in Iceland.
