Made us pay €150 for being 30 minutes. There was some confusion about the drop off location, maybe caused by our travel agent, but still €150 is a bit crazy.

Never wrote a review —the trip was a year ago— but I got a marketing email just now that I have not subscribed to. When I unsubscribed I saw the name of this company, meaning the company sold our data. Not a good way to run a business in modern times, people read reviews and base their decisions on that. Seeing the rating on Google my guess is this company won't last if competition shows up, and it will in a beautiful country like Iceland.

If you dream of a camper trip on Iceland, winter time, you can rely on campericeland! It was a pleasure to spend 10 days in a comfortable motorhome, with great support of the staff. Full information, quick answer to all our questions, great equipment, just perfect! We are coming back, again in winter, and again choosing camper iceland! Thanks a lot and see you soon!

excellent experience from airport pick-up to drop off. horror stories unfounded. Miko looked after us very well. motorhome for 6 adults was top class. very detailed orientation, useful weather, aurora and road tips and advice. i am more than happy to recommend, more than happy to use their services again. respect their vehicle and you won't have problems. we drove around the ring road for 9 days and driving the motorhome was effortless. we left the suitcases at the depot. indeed a wonderful experience.

AWESOME Experience! We were a bit worried at first about this reservation due to the low volume of comments and some negative ones but Camper Iceland were great to deal with! The shuttle was easy to take back and forth to the airport by contacting them, the check-in process and walkthrough were easy and well done and the vehicule we got was in great shape for a rental. We had no issues at all and truly had a blast exploring Iceland in a motorhome!!

Very good service and treatment. They have a shuttle service to the airport and the web page offers all information that you can need to travel around Iceland. They also let you leave the luggage in their offices so you don't have to carry on the suitcases.
We rented a motorhome and I must say I am delighted with the service.

We just rented a large camper (McLouis) with the company and have had an amazing trip. The arrival was very smooth with a very detailed explanation of the campers' characteristics. In the reception, there was food leftover from previous clients which we found nice! The camper was very comfortable, in excellent condition (60,000km) and we could drive it without any major incidents (early April). We were also provided with a WiFi connectivity in the camper (10gbs/day) which proved very helpful! However, we had a few hick ups with it (the auxiliary plugs didn't work, we lost two small "cosmetics" external parts and had difficulty to completely unlock the parking break) but nothing to spoil the trip! We also got stuck outside the camper one evening and broke the knob by trying to open the door too hard. However, the company offered us to fix it without surcharge. Both guys we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, and the company was also very responsive to our emails. We would definitely recommend Camper Iceland! Maxime

We got charged ridiculous fees at the end of our trip which were never described to us at the time of booking. Cleaning fees were charged even though we scrubbed the floor the night before return. A chip in the windshield which was out of our control cost us 1,200 Euros. Brutal way to end the trip.

I booked a rental with the company and the answers I received to e-mailed questions were short and slightly snarky sounding. They had to change the reservation date by one day, which really didn't have a negative impact on my plans at all, but was still inconvenient.
I was having issues paying for the reservation itself. Attempting to call them, their USA line was in German, and they'd reply back via e-mail once a day, M-F. So, sometimes I'd ask a question, they wouldn't answer in their reply, and I'd waste two or three days asking the same question until I received an answer. This was nearly a month long saga.
Several days before the trip, my camper still wasn't paid for, the communication was super minimal except for 'Where's our money?' invoices coming to me every day, so I asked if we could just cancel. I'd never been to Iceland before, and I had nothing else set up. They kindly wanted to charge me 100% of the reservation for cancelling. I couldn't willingly pay them to use their services, but they were able to charge me 100% of the reservation for them doing absolutely nothing.
I wouldn't recommend based on the experience of not being able to book with them, their lack of communication, and they seem absolutely so rude. I've heard great things about Happy Campers and Go Campers. And once I was in Iceland, I met people renting those campers, and they seemed really clean and really nice. Happy Campers has cheaper pricing as well.
The only reason they're getting one star is because I can't post this review without giving them one. Otherwise I'd give them no stars.

Our experience with Camper Iceland was very good. We rented a small "Freedom Camper", and they provided us with an almost brand new camper (a modified Dacia Dokker) which had only 18k kilometers, and all the necessary camping needs for our stay. The camper was really comfortable, especially with the heating system for the cold nights!
The only negative point was the employees. Some just didn't seem to care really much about the clients or did not know the other options you can choose. The check-in did take a very long time (2 hours) since we had to wait for the (seemingly) only employee doing check-ins.
However, our rental came with no incidents, so we did not need to interact with them very much after that point. We did get bumped into by another car in a parking lot, but we didn't have to pay anything. All in all, I would recommend this company. Renting a camper is definitely the best way to experience Iceland!
