Had the Rib Eye Burger, one of the best i had in my whole life!! The Meat was perfectly grilled and soft. 5 stars isn't even close, awesome

Delicious place to have dinner. We had the fish of the day (salted cod) with vegetables and salad and everything was very flavourful.
Service was great and everyone was friendly. The price was very reasonable for what we've seen so far in Iceland for a meal this good and filling.
There was a steady flow of customers (every seat was taken) beginning around 7:00pm (on a Monday).response / report this review -

The best food we had in Iceland so farSimple and comfortable place. The seafood soup is just amazing, cakes are fabulous too. Service was perfect, they allow us to share one meal and we even had a coffee for free. Just don’t hesitate.

This place was one of the best restaurants I ate at during my time in Iceland. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and it's clear that the locals love it here. The night I ordered takeaway, there was a band playing and people dancing, which made it crowded, but it was worth it. The fish soup was hardy and delicious(one of the best I had during the whole trip) and the meringue cake was a special treat before leaving to backpack the nature reserve the next day. Prices are totally reasonable too! Highly recommended.

Isafjodur is a very small cozy town, the people is amazing, and easy to walk around, very nice views all around the place, the food is very fresh and tasty beside a very nice beer

This is such a warm and comfortable place to drop in for a break, drink or a whole meal! The prices are quite reasonable compared to most other places too. The highlights are definitely the fish of the day and the seafood soup - both of which are wonderfully fresh and delicious! Highly recommended!

Hands down the best meal we have had in Iceland so far (one picky health freak vegetarian and one carnivore). For anyone wanting more than meat and fries this is the place to go. I got the vegetable 'pie' which was more like a confused healthy pizza it was absolutely delicious!

The fish soup was amazing. I'm not really a fan of fish but i read everyone else's review and had to try it. It was well worth it. Just be warned, it is very filling. I also had the lamb chops which were delicious too.

The daily seafood soup was excellent and at a really good price. The lamb chops were also very good, though quite expensive. This seems to be a busy place, getting a table might take a while if you just walk in at peak hours.

Stopped in here with a few friends while waiting for a boat tour. Everyone's dishes were fantastic, but I especially recommend the soup. When they say it's filling, they aren't kidding! Probably the best seafood soup I've had, and definitely the most bang for your buck I've had in Iceland! It was ~$20 for a meal.

I really enjoyed my meal here. The food came out hot and fresh and was quite a good price considering it's in Iceland. The views out of the windows of this restaurant are spectacular. You can't go wrong by dining here.

Great Place to try for Dinner!
We went on a exceptionally busy night - two girls were working the while restaurant - service was great , they were very friendly. The Lamb and Fish were phenomenal! Seafood soup is a must to eat here!!

Reservations are more or less required for dinner, although they do have a little cafe-style lounge area if you just want some coffee and cake. They have a couple of Einstok beers, delicious cakes (including the very interesting peppermint-toffee cake with meringues), and hearty but tasty fare. At one point the waitress got very angry with us because she misheard our cake order, and we politely told her that we had ordered something else. She got very short with us. We could hear her slam down the plate with the incorrect cake and then she basically dropped the plate with the new slice of cake on the table and glared at us when we said thank you. I’m not sure what happened. Maybe other customers had been rude to her stressing her out, but that is not a reason to treat us that way. I almost gave this a 3/5 because we spent the end of our meal very uncomfortable.

Good prices, food comes out quickly. It was very busy (as the restaurant options are very limited in town) so make sure to reserve if you don't want to wait. The food was tasty – I'd recommend the soup of the house.

Make sure to make a reservation. We ended up eating outside which was a little chilly but still nice. My burger was delicious along with the potato fries however my wives steak came out a little cool.

My wife and I had the best meal of our 2 week trip around the coast of Iceland here.
We each had the fish of the day, which turned out to be a large piece of cod, with a small salad and vegetables. All done perfectly well, with light, fresh flavor.
The cost was amazingly low for Iceland as well! Both of our meals and a pair of cups of hot tea was only $41. A spectacular deal!
Atmosphere friendly and casual, with people coming in all the time. Nice coffee/expresso bar as well.response / report this review
