Wow. Really cool concept. Just happened to show up here at the right time. Everyone gets served a set meal about the same time. Incredible. 5 or 6 fish dishes prepared differently for you to try. What a find. Staff were delightful to say the least. May want to call them for details. Do not pass this place up.

Someone said to me their favourite meal ever in Iceland was at this little restaurant in Ísafjörður. This was 100% confirmed from the first bite of my meal. I was first served a heaping bowl of lagostine soup, followed by cod tongues, plaice, mackerel, and at least 3 other fish I can't remember. The music choice by the Maitre d'Hotel was also on point. Vinyl from Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills & Nash, and Harry Belafonte played throughout the night.

Without question , best meal ever in Iceland.

Unbelievably good food, good music and it was very nice talking to the owner. Lovely building, even more so from the inside. If you look at the quantity and the quality it is very very well priced. There is even free coffee To be short: perfect

My only complaint was not being able to go a second night! Make reservations and go! Very well worth the trip! we were fortunate to sit with some locals that gave a us some local history and guided us through the food. Hint: Wait for the halibut!

Incredible meal and incredible people. This place makes you feel like you're a part of the local culture and community, like you can blend in and be as comfortable as if you were still at home. There was even a moment where everyone just started clapping because one of the locals finally showed up. If you aren't planning on stopping here to eat, you better change your plans. There's no question we'll be back!

I'm gonna be as objective as possible: This is so good that I pity those on death row that can't make this their last meal. Hell, this is so good that I even remember the name Tjoruhusid. Every dinner since this has been like chasing the dragon for an experience you can only get here. I live on the coast, and even the freshest seafood in my area doesn't compare (to no fault of my local seafood, which is still 5 stars). Weep and despair if you were in Iceland and didn't eat here.

Very, very good fish restaurant! You should probably check the dinner times and make a reservation. We were lucky and just dropped in. The friendly staff made room for us and told us to join the fabulous buffet. For Iceland it was not that expensive either.

This place is perfect! We we're visiting the West Fjords and were looking for a place to try local food and this place was absolutely just what we were looking for! They had a buffet going on with two kinds of fish and a bunch if other sides and options for just 2500 isk and the food was all delicious! The staff was very friendly and the whole vibe of the place was very quiet and rustic! It's a must if you're in the area!

Easily the best meal I've had in more-than-recent history. The business has a unique concept; call ahead for a reservation, show up, fill your bowl brim-full with beautiful fish soup and bread, then wait for at least four fresh, steaming fish dishes to show up on the counter, then rush to grab a place in line and as much food as you can humanly fit in your stomach. This is one of the rare occasions where it is about quality AND quantity. The fish keeps a-coming, in local varieties and inventive/perfect preparations chosen by the chef, and you choose when you're done. The interior is rustic and simple, and the seating communal. This went down with our entire crew as a 5++++ star experience.

This is one of the best fish restaurants in the country. Simply in a class of its own. Actually, I can't imagine there is another restaurant anywhere that matches the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Reasonable prices.

Best food I had in Iceland and one of the best seafood I've had for a long time. They have a warm and country house atmosphere. There is open buffet with daily caught fish, which keeps changing throughout evening. The staff are friendly. Plus there was a live music after dinner. Overall, I would definitely come back if I visit Westfjords again.

Stopped in for a quick beer since nothing else was open Sunday evening and ended up eating, the food is amazing. I loved everything and I'm not a huge seafood fan. All you can eat, staff are awesome. They even stay open late if people are there eating. Cost is great considering all you can eat. Ah, going to be here a lot this week

Probably the best seafood I ever had in a long time. So u would ask, wow that must have cost a bomb considering its Iceland and we went during Easter. But it was only 28pounds(that's a hike up price apparently) each for 5 of us!! We had a big pot of seafood soup, 3 big pan of different fish to share. It's simply amazing. Thank you for opening during Easter serving up such sumptuous food!

I still dream about the seafood bisque here. I mean, the entire meal was amazing, but that bisque. Wow. Come here if you want fantastic fresh seafood in a rustic building. A warning that there will not be real options for people who don't eat seafood. Also, I'd recommend getting reservations.

This is, by far, the best restaurant EVER. When you enter, you hear people talking about how they will never experience seafood like that again - their cheeks warm and lips smiling with delight. When you leave, you are one of those people. The food is scrumptious. The chef and waitresses sweet and wonderful. The atmosphere perfect. Everyone should experience this.

The most amazing fresh fish dishes, fish soup, and bread and butter I've ever had in my life! There are long tables so you'll be seated next to other locals/travelers, which is a great way to meet people and bond over the amazing food. Make sure to call for a reservation beforehand, especially if you have a larger party than two, as it can get quite busy. Definitely worth the drive even if you weren't planning on sightseeing in the West Fjords. Don't eat anything all day so you can stuff yourself at the dinner buffet. :)
