Nice waterfall, get ready for unpaved road to get there. Very close to parking

Personally, I like this more than the Barnafoss. Definitely worth to visit in the area. This waterfall is a series of mini waterfalls clump together. There's a platform viewpoint where you can get a very good view of the waterfall.

A definite must see if you're in the area or driving by on your way into town. Be careful of the ice though as it can be quite slippery, so make sure your shoes have good grip. Wrap up warm too as the wind is icy!

My first icelandic waterfall. The view is great due to the many bigger and smaller falls. Recommend it.

so cool! the duality of nature with the volcano and the glacier. looks alien and foreign to anything i had seen before

Careful as it is easy to drive past. Parking lot was over flowing with visitors. Worth the stop to see the interesting water from rocks.

Gorgeous long wall of lava waterfalls cascading over moss covered lava, falling into bright turquoise water! So beautiful, definitely worth the journey. The road 518 is good condition paved road, there is a small car park closed to the viewing platform. Has toilet facility and a small cafe.

Amazing & very different kind of waterfall. Afternoon sun light up the colorful site.

Amazing. Probably a short type of attraction in terms of things so see and do, but wurth it in every way. A spectacular show of mother nature.

It's a beautiful waterfall and 5-star everywhere else in the world. However, for Icelandic waterfall standards, I have seen nicer / more impressive ones.

Long sets of waterfalls emerging from a cliff face and a turbulent river upstream. Best view is from a paved path with two observation decks a bit of a distance across the river. Also a bridge to other side, but limited viewing from that side of the river.

It's a nice waterfall which you can access easily. There is a cafe nearby as well as toilet facilities. It can be quite a touristic spot. So don't be disappointed that you won't have the area to yourself. ;-)

Both Hraunfossar and Barnafoss are nice waterfalls and worth a visit. Not very crowded. Toilet and café nearby.

This place is the reason panoramic photography exists.

Looks very nice from the first lookout (probably the best for photos) and the others (bridge and 1 or 2 other lookouts just provide a nice view of the powerful river. However there is no way to get to the edge of the water opposite the falls without hopping the rope and climbing down the hill.
