Super small rooms and bathrooms but very clean. Breakfast was local and delicious. Lost 2 stars for price vs value. Least favorite stay on our whole trip.

Hotel with comfortable rooms, very good restaurant (in fact steakhouse), friendly staff and finally receptionist, who is local and with live experience and you can ask him anything. Thank you!

Very small single room. Nice, helpful staff. Understaffed in restaurant for evening meal.

What a soulless place! Rooms are nice and gentlemen at the reception was very kind, but the rest of the staff - especially at breakfast - obviously lacks basic hospitality training. E.g. Refill empty breakfast trays, replace brown bananas or not taking order in communistic style.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and the blackout curtains were great. We were on the first floor, near the main entrance, but we did not notice much noise. It was also very busy the night we stayed. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast was included in the price, and was a very nice selection of hot and cold options. They had some wonderful pastries (honey and pecan) that we just wanted to eat all of.
We also ate dinner here. The menu was mostly Mexican fusion. We had the burgers, which were well cooked and good.

Modern, comfortable hotel conveniently located in the centre of Egilsstadir. Room was spacious with an excellent bathroom - the giant overhead shower was a treat, despite the sulphurous smell of the water.

The staff were friendly and directed us to their sister restaurant, Salt, when we arrived too late to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice. However breakfast was a disaster. It says that breakfast would be from 8.00 - 10.00. But at 8.45 there was almost nothing left. So we asked the staff, but they said that they do not refill. At 9.10 there were also no more napkins left and still some people kept coming in for breakfast overall this really left a dissapointing impression.

Great, cozy hotel. Staff was super friendly. Love that our beds were pointed at the window so we could hunt for the Northern Lights from under the warm blankets. :)

I loved the retro style of the interior. Service was excellent. The electronic card locks on the doors were a nice touch. TV channels were nonexistent, only local channels and one travel channel, very disappointing. Poor quality TVs. Accessibility was poor, too many stairs and no slope to help with dragging luggage up to the reception and no service for carrying customer luggage.
