I was very excited to visit this places, but was left a little disappointed. It's very out of the way. The only reason to visit this location is to see the puffins (another 5km from the hotel). The on site cafe had strange food options, expensive prices, but good beer. The staff was nice. Breakfast was very good. Their coffee machine is great! The facilities were clean, but the small window let in very little air, causing the room to be very hot. The room was oddly shaped making it feel very small.

Amazing guesthouse! The place was very clean and comfortable.

The facilities looked extremely new and modern. The breakfast (included in our price) had a good variety.

The amenities were such a wonderful bonus!

The staff at checkin, the restaurant, and at breakfast.checkout were all very friendly and chatty.

Very comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was delicious (homemade jams, fresh bread, and a Jura espresso machine). The full kitchen is available to use. We arrived late but we were still able to enjoy the hot tubs and drove to see the puffins on the other side of the bay.

Blábjörg Guesthouse is fantastic. It is the best place to stay in Borgarfjörður Eystri. The food is delicious, the rooms are amazing - fairly priced and face a breathtaking view, the staff is kind and helpful, and the amenities are adding so much to the experience like a spa for guests and a great fully equipped kitchen.

The fantastic little spa opens up in the evening and let's you relax and socialize with other guests.
I have no bad words about this wonderful Guesthouse. I will definitely return.

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night and absolutely loved it. It's a perfect place to relax and watch the aurora borealis. We especially enjoyed the spa which has indoor and outdoor areas. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Our host was so lovely and mailed me my bathing suit all the to the UK when I accidentally left it behind! She went above and beyond for us and we would gladly stay again. We highly recommend staying here.

The rooms were very nice and beautiful. The Staff was great and very helpful. The Sauna wasn't that good. Too small and cold wind get into the sauna cabin :(

Really great place with very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent deal for the money. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs and saunas. Food was good. Beer selection great, with local beers. Kitchen and lounge upstairs for preparing your own food. Good breakfast included. Rooms weren't sound proof, could hear people in the hallway, and doors closing.

Nice place, clean rooms, shared bathrooms. The outside hot tubs are great to relax in and if you're lucky see the northern lights. Restaurant downstairs is great too. Limited menu, but amazing food.

The view was spectacular! We paid a little more for an ocean view, would definitely recommend to. Rooms and shared kitchen were clean and the staff were very friendly. There's a bar and grill directly across the street that was filled with locals and even had live music playing. This was our favourite stop on the trip for sure!!

The views are spectacular and service is super. There's a Bar and Grill across the street and walking distance to points of interest near by. Our favourite accommodation of the trip so far.

We didn't stay at the Guesthouse but we went there one afternoon to enjoy their quaint little Spa. They offered 3 different kinds of Hot-Tubs a small Sauna in a giant barell and a warm pool to relax in. They also offered Fresh cold water to cool off and sun-loungers to enjoy the nice weather outside. Opening times of the Spa were rather flexible, meaning, that we had to wait a little until we could find a staff member to open it up for us. But it wasn't a big deal.

Its pretty remote place so plan your schedule. Guesthouse has fine interior and in-outdoor hot tubs are nice.

More like a hostel than a boutique hotel. Shared bathrooms were clean, and breakfast was ok. BYO food and drinks otherwise.

Beautiful, clean, modern, stylish guesthouse with amazing views of the harbor. Tiny town with a beautiful, windy 1-HR drive from the closest town. We saw a seal from the guesthouse and enjoyed the beautiful indoor and outdoor spa. They gave us robes, towels, shoes. They had two hot outdoor baths and one large hot indoor bath. They had an outdoor and indoor dry sauna. They also had a cooler outdoor bath, for those into that! They require you to shower nude before you enter the baths. The shower room was communal. The men's shower was across the hall from the women's shower, separated by two doors. The guesthouse had a washer and dryer which was perfect for us as we had an opportunity to wash and dry our clothes from earlier in the week. And dry our bathing suits from the spa.

Incredible view. Insane variety of hot tubs and saunas. Tricky drive in, but totally worth it.
