A great hotel started at 1884, quite nostalgic and peaceful , highly recommend.

Cute old building with new amenities. A great mix of old charm and new comfort. Breakfast was included and wonderful. The personal hot spring was a great way to relax at the end of the day.

One old and one new building. Quite nice. Old building seems to have som quite steep stairs, most likely not very suitable for people with difficulties to move (crutches/wheelchair), but give them a call and they might be able to arrange something else. We got a room in the new building. Standard room, ok. Free parking in front of hotel. They have a small heated pool in the backyard.

Lovely atmosphere and decoration. We stayed in the Annex, which is a bit more modern. It's a bit of a maze, which is typical for the older buildings. It was a bit noisy, but the hotel provided earplugs. Bed was a 140 cm double bed with just one mattress but two blankets - comfortable, but we really prefer bigger. Breakfast was great with lots of different veggies.

Our favorite stay in Iceland so far, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, great, rustic feel rooms and fabulous heated pool at the back!

LOVE this cute little place. We stayed in the more updated annex. The establishment has so much character and history! We spent time in their geothermal bath after a successful evening of chasing the Norther Lights. Be sure to check out the basement/bar/breakfast area.

Wonderful 1840's building - a flatpack imported from Nowray! Then it was moved, presumably by sailing boat across the fjord to its present position. Our room is splendid - steep staircase from the reception level, with fabulous beams and great interiors, all in keeping with its heritage.
The hotpot is kept at 39degrees, a perfect enclosed space out of the northerly wind, where a pre-dinner beer is brought to you whilst you gently simmer.

Excellent hotel lost in the middle of this village in northern Iceland. Receptionist is cool and so agreable. The rooms are rustic and personalized. King size bed. There is a geothermal bath outside with water at 40 C
