Lovely waterside location. Modern, stylish buildings , all very clean. Restaurant does evening meals and breakfast both with good food well cooked and presented. Friendly helpful staff, onsite petrol station with car wash facilities and airline for tyres. Lovely comfortable beds and our room was very spacious with disability aids, sofa and armchair plus 2 coffee tables. Kettle provided . Lots of car parking and ramp for wheelchairs or wheeled luggage at the front door, then everything on one level. Natural hot pool with man made improvements about 200 metres away on shore. Free loan of towels and robes for hot pool use.

Stopped in to grab some lunch and it was a good experience. Got pizza and burgers and they were both good. They also let us charge our electronics which was great since we were camping and in the middle of nowhere for a while.

Lovely spot with comfortable beds and friendly staff. There's a hotspring about just a short walk from the hotel, and the food was great!

We stayed a single night at Hotel Flokalundur. The hotel is beautifully located by the water and conveniently close to the ferry in Brjanslækur. Rooms are small but nice and clean. No TV except in the communal room. The restaurant was ok. Soup of the day is good value, since you can refill. Breakfast was very nice. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Here just for lunch. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. A wonderful rest stop, though one of few so we were just happy to see a place to eat! I had the salmon toast and a coke, made my day. Friendly service and quick!

Stopped here for food after visiting Dynjandi. Tjis was a lovely little place with a view of the water as we ate. Service was great and the food was pretty good. Menu was mainly burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. I had the bacon and blue burger, which was quite tasty. Coffee was excellent. A great little place to stop.

Location is great, next to a beautiful fjord and a monument to Hrafna Flóki, the viking who named the country Iceland. Hotel is nice and clean and friendly people there.

Hotel was very nice. The room was also very nice. Plenty of space and well decorated. There was no bathtub, but the shower was very nice. Staff was great and very funny. Food was very good. Breakfast was included in the price, and while it was not what Americans traditionally have, it was very good. There was also a variety of options. The only suggestion we would make is for the curtains to be solid. There was a blackout curtain which worked, but there were gaps around the edges. The curtains they did have were shear, and did not help block the sun. We really enjoyed our stay, and are planning to come here again the next time we go to Iceland.

We went on a two day trip (9-10 Aug) to the southern part of the West Fjords and the western peninsula by rental car. Coming from Reykjavik, we knew that we had to find a hotel somewhere in the area.
The location of this hotel was perfect for us, as it allowed us to see the Dynjandi waterfalls and the Latrabjarg cliffs during our first day, and then make it to the peninsula down south with minimal driving the next day.
The hotel is very basic, but yet comfortable and clean. The bathroom was updated, but you could hear the pipes when people next door were taking a shower. At USD 200/night (including breakfast) we thought it was better than average, considering the location and amenities (restaurant, thermal pool, and gas station). Being located near the water makes for great views. The restaurant is very nice with a limited menu, but the food is nothing worth writing home about.
Expect to travel on some gravel/dirt roads when visiting this area. Traveling to this part of the West Fjords comes with some breathtaking elevated views.response / report this review -

For a short stop with coffee and cake and a nice view is this a very good place. The staff is friendly and fast and with a little sunshine the view is really great.
