    Terribly rude and impolite.
We had a terrible personal experience with the Belgian owner.
    Best to avoid.

Some of the best waffles and soups we have ever had. They recently wrote a cookbook and we ordered it to be shipped to Colorado the first day it was available. I hope we can visit again some day!

After a hike around and up Mt. Sandarfell we visit this Cafe. It has a lot of history and is very cozy. The waffles and the atmosphere was great.

Very nice place with good food and very, very welcoming people, who also give horse tours around teh beautiful country side. You can actually sleep here, with is the best place in Thingeyri. Walter is an excellent host and riding with him is lots of fun.

Was told by the host of an Airbnb place I was staying at in another city that I should stop by this place for good waffles. Glad I did! The waffles were very tasty!! Excellent cafe!!

Beautiful location, cozy old building (the whole house is imported from Norway) and fantastic lamb in the evenings for a very fair price considering the rest of the country. Also the best belgian waffles I've had in a long time! Do take your time to go here after or before visiting Dynjandi waterfall :)

Wonderful friendly people. Absolutely incredible completely fresh soup, bread, and other baked goods. Coffee, beer, everything you could really need in a beautifully restored vintage feeling cafe.
