I only go in the supermarket for a few essentials and bus tickets so cannot really rate the whole shopping experience, but it seems OK.

Both a hotel (Grimur hotel, on the second flor) and a shopping area with a pizzeria and a 24h supermarket! Quiet, neat, good price.
