I had a room which was just a shed with a bed, a very cramped and draughty toilet and almost no space to move. The key wouldn't work in the door and the snow that came in constantly restricted the door from moving. A tiled floor did not help when I had wet, slippery boots from the cold outside. Also, I shouldn't have to walk half a kilometre to get to reception.

Nice and clean guesthouse, and very friendly staff who were happy to greet us when we arrived pretty late at 11pm. We didn't get to enjoy the big hangout room during our quick overnight stay, but it looked really nice. I have to say that it only lost a star for 2 reasons: the room we got was very small (it was very easy to bump your head), and there was no kitchen area for guests to cook food. I assume that this is because they want you to order food from their restaurant, but most road trippers bring their own food around to cook.

Review for the Blind Raven:
The waffles were delicious, and the malt hot chocolate was great! They were completely prepared for our tour group, and offered waffles with any toppings, alcoholic and hot drinks, soft drinks, etc. It was a great place. The busses are stopped in the parking lot and we watched the Northern Lights behind the restaurant. Honestly, it was a great experience and an impressive business idea.response / report this review -

Very clean and the staff was friendly. Only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is because the walls are very thin and we could here people next door.

Quality of room and help from reception staff was excellent.How ever the food starters were the most ridiculous small portion we have ever had for the highest price.This was a great shame as averting else was excellent

For no obvious reason we didn't get our pre-booked room with private shower and instead were given a very tiny room with a barely clean shared bathroom. People in the room next door were quite loud until midnight, walls are thin, you will hear everything!
Dinner and breakfast were okay, but not very special. The dinning hall is not very cosy - mass tourism!response / report this review -

Pre arrival communication was great, sufficient driving instructions given and queries responded to in a timely fashion. The setting was beautiful! Really liked the little games room with free tea and coffee and a parrot! Our cottage was small but quaint with great views. Bedroom was well presented but bathroom was slightly dated and inside the bathroom cupboard was dirty and messy. Pork in the restaurant was really tasty and well cooked but all meal accompaniements were the same and not very exciting. Breakfast was nice and fresh homemade waffles set us right up for the day!

Love it. A building in a remote farm. Nice people. We had dinner there and is was surprisingly good (icelandic prices). Very good breakfast.

Standard bedroom, a little bit small and just barley clean like the shared restrooms.
The structure is situated in a quiet place.
There is no shared kitchen or similar facilities.
