  Delicious dinner a little outside of downtown but well worth the trip. I had the halibut steak which was fantastic! Very reasonable prices and wonderful service as well.

  Best dinner in Iceland! the owner stopped by to explain 'monday style' fish to us and was great. Worth every penny, the only slight issue i had was the haddock was a bit over-seasoned(salty). But 5 stars for the texture and accompaniments. Kick ass fish place!

  Do yourself a favor and get away from the insanity of downtown Reykjavik to try gallery fiskur! Every member of staff was so friendly and kind, our waitress checked up on us several times and patiently answered our menu questions despite us only speaking English, and the chef came out to chat us up. Besides that, both the fish soups, the halibut, and the mussels were amazing, total comfort food for us, and the picky 10 year old loved his fish as well! Finding food like this in the states is rare :( We will be back the next time we're here!

  I had the most stinky icelandic fish (the famous one) and that to be expected. What I did not expect was the owner to tell me everything about it. Absolutely finest of the fine dining with a twist.

  We made the decision to visit the restaurant based on customer reviews and the proximity to out hotel. We walked straight in without a reservation. The food and service were absolutely fantastic, I would certainly visit again. The chef came out to greet us while we were eating - a nice touch.

  Excellent food. Halibut peppersteak is outstanding! Best food I’ve had in Reykjavik. Also the price was very reasonable even for Icelandic prices.

  Quiet restaurant. Had their famous haddock pepper steak. It was very good. The langostine bisque was excellent. Wait staff was very great.
