Good menu selection and they are able to accompany dietary restrictions on request, staff of helpful with that.

The service was good, the food came quickly to the table and it was tasty. We had the tagliatelle, the tagliatelle with chicken, the kids menu nuggets and the kids menu sandwich. The ice cream was good too! Prices are ok considering it's Reykjavik and the portion sizes.

Ordered the seafood soup and the Grilled lobster pasta. Seafood soup is pretty good. Pasta is overcooked and mushy. Small bits of lobster aren't worth it.

Ordered a seafood soup, soup of the day (cream of asparagus), fish and chips, grilled chicken breast pasta, lobster cream pasta. Food was delivered within 10mins, although most of the food wasn’t piping hot but rather acceptable. Pricing typical of Icelandic food.
Pretty empty restaurant at Sunday lunch time. Excellent service overall!

I walked in & the place was empty. It was clean and beautiful inside so I was amazed no one was there. Ordered Fish and chips and the seafood soup. Fish was over cooked and breaded not batter fried. The chips were delicious. Seafood soup had the salmon overcooked but the lobster was perfect inside. The soup itself was seasoned well and tasty. Overall, not worth the 65$ and will eat elsewhere in the future.

Christmas menu #2 (2017) - salmon, lamb, dessert. Everything was good, but lamb and potato deserve special recognition. Big, tender chunk of lean lamb, herbs-crusted - best lamb I ever remember. Baked potato with butter - OMG, so simple, yet so tasty!
Beautiful place, quick service, nice people. Totally enjoyed it!

Wanted a cheeseburger after three nights of lamb and fish and was very thankful I found this place. Good size menu and decent service by American standards.

Amazing, the wait staff was super attentive yet not overbearing. We ordered smoked trout and the warm pate with mushrooms. Portions were huge so a good deal for the price of Icelandic meals. Very homemade and yummy. While it way be a tad touristy we did indulge in the brennevin and fermented shark combo. Sooo not as bad as we expected. Do ita

Romantic atmosphere, but not very friendly staff. Small beer selection. Icelandic dishes, not super vegetarian friendly.

Seems to be locally run as a family restaurant. We went for dinner when it wasn't that busy and we were instantly attended to. We ordered the surf & turf, fish soup, and fish &chips (with chips substituted with baked potato), paired with wine. The service was above and beyond and the staff checked in regularly that everything was to our liking, all with a smile. The soup was creamy with very fresh salmon and shrimp. The surf & turf had a tender rump cut of steak that was juicy in the middle (as ordered: medium rare) and soft fresh lobster on the side. The fish and chips had a light flavorful crust and accommodation of the substitution was ideal. It was pricey but well worth the experience for our last night here. Overall a perfect dining outing, and we'd happily go repeat. :)

Had fish and chips. It came with salad which was good: goat cheese and dressing were tasty. Fries were good, but the fish was bland. Icelandic draft beer was good. Tried the fermented shark smell was just too strong for me. Texture was like sushi, but next time I'll just get sushi.

Fantastic fresh tasty food - made fresh for you. All home made on the spot so that's probably why some people may have had a wait when it is busy. Personally I would rather wait and get fresh food. However, we never had to wait and our food came quickly even on Sat night when it was full. We loved the home made ice cream, the lamb stew/soup and the fresh fish of the day meals. Once we discovered this little gem, we ate there every lunch and evening meal for the whole of the week. Thanks to Didda and Sindri for their wonderful hospitality and also to Auntie for her amazing home made toblerone ice cream. A big thank you!

Absolutely terrible experience for us. We waited for over an hour for our meal due to mistakes of our waitress. Even though we went in at a quiet time, we were still waiting when almost everyone who arrived later than us got their food, incl a big 8+ people group arrived 20 min after us. What's worse is that one of their senior staff--a tall blond waitress wearing black framed glasses was extremely rude to us at the register, not apologetic at all, but kept trying to justify the wait and not acknowledging their screwup. When we rejected a face-slapping discount, she even said 'most people will take it as they are nice'', and kept saying 'we never offer more than this, never, and we won't negotiate'. Her attitude was as if we were in the wrong. In the end, the store manager stepped in. The food overall was ok--seafood soup really salty. But the rude tall lady's terrible attitude completely ruined the meal.
