Everthing was perfect, except the bill.. The number of servings and amount of wine is til much. They should reduce everything, I think that would be a good idea..

Amazing range of eclectic cocktails and starters. Ate the whale and puffin breast for starters and definitely worth the experience. Nice ambience and centrally located.

Utterly fabulous delicious food. Definitely the fave meal my hubby and I had in Reykjavik. Incredible lobster soup (which they kindly divided into two bowls from one portion, so we could both try it), great little amuse bouches and bread with whipped butter and smoked salt and the two fishy mains were cooked to perfection. Beautiful flavours with every bite Impeccable service with very friendly waitresses giving great attention to detail. Loved it here. Not cheap, but nowhere in Iceland seems to be, so might as well spend your dosh somewhere worthy. This place really is. And not poncey at all. Very cosy and relaxed.

When in Reykjavik, look for this restaurant that specializes in seafood. Gourmet dishes that surprise you visually with their combinations, and tastes that tickle your fancy, it is the best seafood restaurant on this island.

While there the volcano maki and their Angelica lamb. The desserts are delicious as well, particularly their deconstructed cheesecake. All in all, a class act worth your time and money.

I don't normally post reviews but had the most exceptional 9 course tasting menu last night for my boyfriend's birthday. Each and every course was amazing. Quite possibly the best meal we've ever had!

Amazing restaurant. Used to frequently visit Sjávargrillið however we've found a new favourite.

Excellent substitute dishes for my fiancées allergies and dislikes on the tasting menu. Get the tasting menu you won't regret it!

Everything was perfect. The tasting menu is very good value I think and offers very high quality food. Location is central, atmosphere is cosy.

I would probably fly to Iceland purely to eat here again.

Amazing place with a top notch menu. We opted for the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. We were amazed by every course. The staff all speaks English (as I think almost everyone in Iceland does). Even the bread and butter is memorable and tasty. Do get a reservation if you know you will be in town and don't be afraid to try everything they have to offer.

Food in Iceland is expensive, and this is one of the fancier and pricier spots. Delicious, perfectly cooked fish and veggies, well balanced flavors, and a decent wine selection. Make a reservation if you can, or come early to beat the dinner crowds. Sushi for starters and Western styled main courses are a great mix in my opinion! They have cooked/Western style starters as well if you're not into Sushi. The Minke whale and Arctic Char nigiri were delicious!

Tasty food and great service. Fresh sea food with a prime price. Everything is super expensive in Iceland, here is no exception. But you know what you are paying for. Highly recommended. I had a salmon.

Amazing meal to mark a full-stop for my first Iceland journey! We had the 9 courses tasting menu and added the amazing lobster soup, one of the best I had. Staff are friendly and introduced each dishes in details. Added the vegetarian maki and tempura as well. I’ve always visiting Japanese omakase and sushi places so I did prefer the original Japanese sushi, but the dishes here are so great and I would come back again for my next Iceland trip for sure! Oh yes the dessert platter was fantastic as hell.

I ate their tasting menu. By far the best meal I had in Reykjavik and Iceland. Every one of their appetizers was tasty. The lamb entree was the best! And I am not a big fan of lamb and I loved it.

We came here for the tasting menu. They served large amounts of raw fish, which left my stomach rather displeased, though they did serve amazing dessert. It was quite expensive. A mouthwatering 2040 krona to be exact.

We enjoyed the Around Iceland meal and got to try several traditional dishes. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing.

The service was slow, which is just a difference between European and American fine dining. We came here on the day we arrived after getting no sleep on the plane, so we were painfully tired by the end of the meal. That was our fault and is not a negative for the restaurant. The only reason I mention it here is so other people don't go for a slow, late dinner on their first night.

Lovely restaurants with fantastic courses and unique cocktails. Get the chef's tasting and the bartender's choice. You can't go wrong.

Great food but service was too slow in getting drinks and in between meals. Had the Arctic char and the desserts were amazing. The lamb looked lovely and my friend was it was lovely.

The food was really good although the service and the experience was terrible. We got our foods handed to our hands or the corner of the table rather than properly put, hot tea was spilled on two of us by the waiter, empty wine glasses were never refilled unless told, and on top of that the wine bottle we excitedly ordered was given to another table, lateron explained to us as "a small mistake" and we were given glasses of an open bottle which lacked quality in all ways. The place was nearly empty when all this happened--couldnt blame it on the crowd. We expected as an act of good will to not be charged for the bottle of wine we had to give away to others, but the bill came and we were shocked to be charged fully for both bottles. We asked to speak to the manager and the answer we got was "your bottle was almost empty anyway" which continued with remarks such as "why do you tell me this at the end of the dinner and not at the beginning" "are you complaining just because of a bottle of wine?" "What were you expecting a fancy restaurant?" - none of which to me is in no way an explanation to this awful treatment. There are many amazing restaurants in Iceland and they are all of amazing quality, so I'd definitelynot recommend this place where you'd pay a considerable amount and be disrespected and mistreated. Do NOT eat here.

The tasting menu will go down as one of the best meals of my life. I loved every single course which was unique but still had a bit of a comfort traditional type food in many of the courses. The sushi was incredibly fresh and refined. If I could eat sushi here every night of my life if possible. Service was impeccable and atmosphere was inviting and lively. Sat at a bar in front of where they were cooking and putting together the sushi platesgreat entertainment!

It was really great experience going in that restaurant for dinner. There are some dishes you can't find around like Smoked Puffin Breast and Wheal Meat. It was big surprise to get very great sushi and sashimi with fantastic presentation! Locals recommended us to visit that place and I would highly recommend this place as a destination for tourists with taste for local meal.
