A great little hole in the wall! Not too far from the Raufarholshellir Lava Tunnel. They had an amazing, incomparable nut loaf! The view of the ocean and black sand beach is absolutely wonderful. The unique building design is also to be appreciated.

Just the perfect place to see the northern lights. What a wonderful experience and the restaurant stayed open to serve hot drinks and snack.

After an hour-long walk along the completely deserted beach, the grass in the dunes, the sea birds around us, the black magnetic sand and the cold water between our toes, we stopped for Coffee Cake, and had a seat on the terrace in the sun. Lovely place :-) Between all the volcanoes and mountains, this is Iceland, too. Don't forget about that :-)

This place was awesome - Jessi took our group in and was super flexible with our schedulethe facilities are fantastic, especially the showers :) The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are thoughtful. It's a very special place. So grateful we got to stay there.

Amazing view. Amazingly cosy and I just ate the best fish and chips of my life. Includes water and amazingly tasting tomatomash with delicious bread.

Both of these stars are just for the view, which was nice but not spectacular. Though I'm sure if you come in winter and caught the northern lights while eating it would be more impressive. We ordered the seafood chowder, mussels, lagostines and the fish and chips, shared among 3 people. I was given a dirty plate when they served the complimentary bread. Considering the restaurant only had 2 other tables, that shouldn't have happened. The chowder was not what was expected; it was more like a seafood soup with curry powder added for flavour. Both the lagostines and the mussels were over cooked and they weren't fresh. The texture of both was soft and mushy. Either way, not good for a seaside restaurant in a country known for their seafood. The fish and chips were ok, but they were small pieces of fish. They only had one server (who was super nice) so service was a little slow. All in all, the food was not great and really overpriced (ended up being around 140,00 isk; which is about 135 USD). It was recommended in our lonely planet book never again are we following the advice of a tour book. Would not come back.

I will admit that I can't speak for the food at all at this restaurant but it has stunning views of the Northern Lights. There were bus loads of people there that agree.
