I didn't think I was going to eat Chinese food while on vacation in Iceland, but I needed a break from the local fare and I discovered this lovely little takeaway restaurant that provided me with a wonderful, flavorful meal.

My all time favorite Chinese Restaurant, the food is delishious and the staff is lovely. I also love the fact that I often see the owners/cheffs shopping fresh ingredients when I am at the local super market and I know they are using good fresh ingredients in their cooking.

This is THE place to get the best Kung Pao EVER MADE 😁 I really love their Kung Pao dish 💕 The restaurant itself is not fancy at all (still pretty cute in its own way) but I would serve the food to Royalty without hesitation 😉

Nice size servings for a fair price.

The food was just OK. I had a tofu dish which was overly spicy and came with no vegetables. The veg noodles were quite nice though.

Fresh and tasty food! Fast service, friendly staff. Restaurant atmosphere unfortunately quite unattractive, typical takeaway. Prices ok, seem to be slightly below Icelandic average.
Online orders possible, but only on a mobile phone with an Icelandic SIM. Mobile phones with foreign SIM don't receive confirmation message via SMS.

One of my all time favourite places to eat!
Fönix is owned by one family that provides one of the best service at a restaurant I have seen in my 23 years of living in Iceland. I have come half an hour after closing, not realising that the place had closed, and still be allowed to order takeout. Recently the whole family took a trip together and closed the restaurant meanwhile, I don't know about you but I find that endearing and adorable. The place had great food and offers nice choices for multiple people to eat together without having to order one thing for each person. I am also fortunate enough to have tried their catering service and must say I enjoyed it very much!

不推荐国内来旅行的朋友来此店受气！几乎是亚朵最失望的一次国外中餐馆经历，原本在雷克雅未克很不容易才找到一家中餐馆，看Google评价分很高，于是欣然前往。看到菜单上熟悉的凉粉、饺子等中国传统食物，一家老小都很开心。第一位为我们点菜的小哥很热情，虽然菜单上凉粉没有、鲸鱼肉没有，也是可以理解的。点了两份汤面、两份水饺、青椒土豆丝、葱爆羊肉、炒鱼片（小哥说是鳕鱼）、香蒜冰岛包菜（原本点的是菜单上的炒豆芽，小哥也说今天没有）。然后小哥说他写的单大厨看不懂，换了老板娘来写单。我们为保险起见一一重复，结果奇葩事来了！老板娘说：“饺子是冰冻的，水煮的会破，煎的不会破不要水煮的吧！”我和婆婆对了一眼，速冻饺子是不好煎，好煮的吧？不过出于异国遇华人的礼貌我也没说什么，换成米饭了。“炒鱼片没有，只有红鱼……包菜没有，只有白菜、生菜猪肉只有东坡肉……”我终于撩了菜单问“究竟有什么菜是可以点的？为什么前面的服务员说有的菜，你这就没有了？”老板娘一脸只浮在表面上的笑说“呦，这是不高兴啦！我们这里一般是接团预订的，备的菜就固定的那些。”拜托，你这里就一张圆桌，接团？我连反驳都懒得了“我这里要么就是当地的客人，很多东西也不点，我们不备菜的。”那菜单究竟什么作用？先生出来打圆场，最后的菜换成两份汤面、铁板牛肉、葱爆羊肉、青椒土豆丝、炒生菜！吃到一半老板娘来问“土豆做成辣的了，要吗？不要，那好，重做。”而这顿让我没什么胃口饭，账单是一万七千冰岛克朗！

Large portions. Entrees largely under 2300 krona. Fast, friendly service that spoke serviceable English. Pleasant seating area. Provided table service but expected us to pay at the counter.
