Hole in the wall location, but cozy and totally authentic experience. Lobster soup and seafood sandwiches were delicious! Even coffee was great!

We came here after a trip to blue lagoon and i am sure glad that we did. Located right on the harbor in a little fishing village 10 minutes from the spa. The lobster soup was absolutely delicious! Includes free refills, bread & butter, and hot tea. Best meal value that I found in Iceland! They have some amazing desserts as well.

This is as must when in Grindavik! The kind staff and eclectic decor are wonderful, but most of all, go for the food! We had a typical Icelandic open-faced sandwich with eggs and fish (herring I believe), apple cake and lobster soup YUM! It was so tasty! Can't wait to go back, the owners are also so lovely!

Great local place! Amazing Lobster soup! With big chunks of real lobster! Soooo good. Lovely staff and great atmosphere! I would highly recommend it! Free coffee and tea with purchase!

Lobster soup was amazing and so was the caramel meringue pie! I highly recommend this place! Also got to watch the Liverpool and Manchester city game with the locals. Very warm and friendly atmosphere.

As many have said, this place is a gem. The owner is an absolute legend. Not only did he offer great conversation (with tips/recommends), he went out of his way to share the origins of their family fish net business and make me a rope souvenir!

Loved the lobster soup. Needs a little effort to find the place but you'd possibly not get a seat if it was better known. Friendly staff, good advice. Ask about the ships bell ..

We went here for lobster soup at 10pm and the kind gentlemen gave me two for the price of one and a whole load of bread! The place was cozy with good company. Worth the visit if you're in the neck of the woods.

It's a local hangout and somehow welcoming to tourists. We left a miniature flag of my country (Panama) and the lady placed it all the way i n the back as if no big deal. The lobster soup was a much salty for our taste. But, we figured that's how Islanders eat it given the brutally cold weather. All in all it was a good experience and I would definitely return to make a better impression.

Nice little cafe. Looks like the kind of place you'd expect to see sailors or fishermen having their first real meal after being out to sea for weeks. The lobster soup was very good.

Very limited menu. I went for the Lobster soup and was disappointed. I had a lot of Lobster soup during my stay in Iceland, but enjoyed this one the least. It was so peppery each mouthful felt like the spoon was trying to apprehend my tongue. I was just glad not to splash any in my eye. It cost over £14 (2000 ISK) for the soup, which is also the most I've ever spent on soup. Including the other soups I've had in Iceland.

Lobster soup at this place is absolutely amazing! We wanted to have a quick lunch and we stopped at this cozy cafe and we absolutely loved it. The staff was super friendly and the food was great! I may fly to Iceland again only to go there and get some more lobster soup Delicious!! :)

We stopped here to grab some breakfast to kill some time between our arrival at KEF and our Blue Lagoon reservation. Solid coffee and breakfast, but what really stood out was the owner/manager's friendliness. He could clearly tell we were visitors, and gave us some excellent "local" recommendations, including an alternate, more scenic route to drive to get to Reykjavik. It really changed our experience the first day, and we were able to check out some cool hot springs and a beautiful lake along our drive to the city. He went above and beyond and drew stuff out on a map for us to follow along as well! Great great experience, and would highly recommend to anyone!

Probably . no wait..THE best soup I’ve ever had. It was a Lobster soup. No idea what made it so good but wow. Lovely lady running it. The cakes and pastries look amazing and they’re all fresh. Definitely stop here if you’re in the area!

After almost an hour of driving around and asking locals about food options I stumbled upon this place on a late night munchie trip while staying at the Silica Hotel. It was late, dark, we were the only patrons and he was about to close. The bartender however essentially reopened for us, made us lobster soup and gave us conversation. He was patient and waited for us to fully enjoy our food and time even though he was clearly about to close. It also helps that the soup was bomb and the bread was still fresh.

Very good coffee + cake and the flair of the "old fishing days" (however it's really clean). Also had a nice talk with locals. Extremely friendly, interesting and authentic atmosphere.

It's a small cafe with a VERY limited menu, but it's all-you-can-eat lobster soup and vegetable soup for 2000isk, including unlimited coffee and tea as well. There are also a few open face sandwiches with salted fish and some desserts. The main guy there is super friendly.

Sip a latte and enjoy a slower pace of life. Picturesque view of the harbor, seating inside or out. Open faced sandwiches of locally caught fish, soups, and several cakes. Small, cozy and intimate cafe. There's also an upright piano! 🎹

Great Icelandic food. Charming and cozy little place for hanging out and enjoying the wharf scenery. We met the host, who was an absolutely terrific guy. He was so nice and hospitable. My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Bryggjan, in part due to his easy going and friendly manner. We wish them many years of succes.

Delicious and typical Restaurant, locales in the harbour. They have a delicious all you can eat lobster food I would not miss. The decoration is lovely and the girl working there is the nicest! Recommended!

We were looking for a place to eat in Grindavik and happened upon this small cafe. I am so glad we did because this is exactly what we were looking for. Very casual and charming but most of all the lobster soup is fantastic! I will definitely come back if we are ever in Iceland again.

Local food and flavor. Owner is so welcoming and knows everything about the local history and folklore of the town. Go for simple Icelandic breakfast or a slice of delicious homemade cake and coffee. They are famous for their lobster stew but we missed out only able to stop in for breakfast before flying out.

Must try after the Blue Lagoon! This small restaurant seats about 16 people and has a gorgeous view of the ocean. The lobster bisque is made daily and is incredibly fresh and hearty. It's all you can eat so come hungry! The vegetable soup is a great for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Their soups will warm you up after a chilly day exploring Iceland
