Not a great selection of tent camping sites so get there early or be prepared to sleep on a slope and exposed or at the bottom of the creek. Didn't see inside the huts but there is a small collection of buildings here that seem cozy. No garbage collection but helpful wardens.

Camping near the small river. Toilets and showers, no warm place like a kitchen to stay for a while. Warm shower for additional payment. But there is a fantastic canyon in 15 mins radial walk.

Good camping, 2000isk per person, shower 500isk, 4 huts. Unfortunately no common place where to dry your clothes and stuff. Nice landscape.

Awesome place.. nice oasis in the desert around. Beautiful place! All showers where broken and almost all toilets.. not so nice, therefore 1 star discount ;) .. but nice and helpful wardens!

Helpfull and friendly staff, but very windy place for camping. Check your equipment before going then it is a nice stay.

This campsite is not my favorite one. But a nice view to the gletcher. Anyway hot showers, but windy place full of ash. We had to wash our tent later :)

Such a unique place! After hiking through a black sand desert and then all of a sudden you are in a lush green valley filled with plants. Be warned though: if you are late to show up it is VERY hard to find a spot.
