Unexpected gem in Blondus! Our family of three enjoyed the Borgin fish selection, pan-fried halibut, and whale steak since the catch of the day wasn’t available.

Within “Icelandic price range”. Great food and service overall. Note that customers enter via Hotel Blanda and the entrance no longer looks like that in the earlier photos.

After a long day of glacier hiking and site seeing dinner at Borgin’s was definitely welcome. We were all quite satisfied with our meals and the service we received. Great fuel for our 7.5 hour overnight drive to Akureyri.

This was a buffet for a tour group. It was pretty good, tasty and generous. I can't say what the usual menu is like.

Very nice friendly folks. They gave me ice for my cooler. Played pool here too. Good experience all around.

Beautiful local restaurant (the only one in town) that has charming decor and great food. We tried the catch of the day which was amazing! Also had the burger which was nicely made and HUGE! This place has a cozy vibe and the host is friendly and took us on a tour of his establishment after our meal.

Highly recommend you come check this out. It's by the water and as a bonus there is a trampoline outside that can be used by everyone!

We went to try their fish, but sadly they didn't have fish the day we came because it was a holiday. We got pizza and cheese sticks instead. Delightful. The pizza was great! Delicious, thin crust and crispy. Yum yum!

Excellent place for fresh catch of the area. We found this place through Google map 5.0 recommendation and acknowledged that their catch of the day dish deserves that rating. Fresh cod and trout from local fishermen. Enormous portion with decent price. Definitely a great place to check out for local seafood! Highly recommended.

One of many gems we have experienced in our 11-days trip in Iceland. And maybe the most unexpected one.
Great atmosphere, great Totti, and most importantly, magnificent food. Inspiring, fresh, tasty.
My daughter had a great evening with the owner and helper, Charle. Truly amazing experience.
I don't know when will be our next family trip to Iceland. But one thing for sure this will be the one place we will visit again.

Wonderful experience. Trust the chef. Fish soup to die for according to my love. Fish of the day was great with all sorts of veggies. Served out of the skillet. Great place.

This is a nice place with a fun staff. Both the Salmon and the Halibut were excellent. They have a pool table and a projector that was a great way to watch Iceland beat Finland 3-2.

In a village were we expected nothing, we had a great evening! The owner told us about the history of Skagastrond, the hidden people on the rock and he also let us taste some local specialties :-)
