After a long day and drive from Reykjavik, we found the Berg Restaurant in Vik. I'm not sure , but it may be the ONLY restaurant in Vik. All that means is that these GOOGLE REVIEWS are even more important to help you decide. . I was determine to get my steak. Ordered surf & Turf. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, as ordered and I've had small filet mignon, but. The surf was not a lobster (e.g., maine lobster) rather it was a langostino (sp?). They never said it was lobster so, not a problem. But it was the size of my thumb. The meat tasted good - 1 1/2 bites - that's all. I just wanted more. Service was professional and impeccable. Restaurant was elegant and unexpected, way out of Reykjavik. Coffee with cream was heavenly.
After dinner, I drove out to the black volcanic basalt sand beach just behind the N1 gas station just across the Vik Hotel. Got some black sand to bring home!

We had the lamb, the char (fish) and some wine. It was all delicious and perfectly filling. It was a little pricey but it served as a great venue for a romantic night out.

Very elegent setting. Staff were very professional and friendly. Fiance and I had the beef tenderloin and the rack of lamb. Both dishes were absolutely amazing, but portions were small and this was the most expensive meal we had in our 7 days in Iceland.

Late in our schedule - 21.45 - everything seems already closed (believe it or not most of the local restaurants close at 9PM). Inside the Nordic hotel this restaurant is open. We were searching for anything and we ended up in a cozy, elegant, place, really quiet, good food and brilliant service! What else?! Happy!

Tasty menu, conveniently located inside of Icelandicair hotel. I really liked the wild mushroom pasta. Seafood dishes are always a safe betin Iceland that is.
