Our trip won't be this amazing without Affordable Campers ! You're going to book with company that do their jobs with love and passion! They're friendly, very welcoming..plus super helpful in every way! Don't hesitate to send them any questions you may have and of course, BOOK WITH THEM!! You will get everything you would basically needed.. big mattress and very comfy (we stayed almost 2 weeks and we had no problem sleeping at all!!) Clean pillows, Curtains..they even gave us the eye masks as I mentioned that my hubby is very sensitive with light when hes sleeping! How sweet!! :) basic utensils, picnic gaz stove, cutlery and a cooler . Enjoy this wonderful country with them and you won't regret!Whenever we will be back in iceland we would book our car with #affordablecampers again for sure! Love from France xx

Don’t hesitate, JUST BOOK! Having this camper truly made our experience in Iceland. It had everything we needed from curtains, a fridge, heater, bedding and to the little necessities like hand towel/cups/cutlery. Robert and Birgir were full of local knowledge, sent us links to everything we may need including where to buy wine and their favourite attractions (that were less touristy!). The camper was well equipped and really clean which shows just how much effort they put into their service. When we get back to this beautiful country we will definitely book through Affordable Campers again.

What a wonderful experience! One of the two owners picked me up at my hostel to give me a lift to where the Campervan was. After sorting out the paperwork he explained the van and what it can do. The van was equipped with a radio to which you can connect your phone as well and listen to your own music (good sound quality btw). You can charge your phone in the front of the car and in the back (when you’re lying in bed). In the back was a box with all the essentials like plates, cups, cutlery, pots etc. and a gas stove. As Iceland is very windy you always need to find a good spot to place it though. Also, the van had a small fridge - which is probably only necessary in summer. My stuff was cold anyway as i did not need to use the overnight heating which can be controlled from the bed. The bed is quite spacious and very comfortable. Underneath the bed you can store your bags and suitcases (I had a huge one with me and it fitted in without any problems). Driving around the island, I felt very safe and comfortable in this van and it did not need that much fuel. The car is very easy to drive so that I haven’t had any problems. When staying somewhere over night you can just lock all doors with the key from the inside. If you need a shower you can either stay on campsites with showers or just go to one of the hundreds of thermal spas or hot pots around the island. There are toilets at almost every fuel station and most of them are free (I just had to buy a coffee once to use a toilet in Grindavík). All in all the Campervan was the best choice to explore the island and be completely independent. I would definitely rent this van again (especially as it is the cheapest and most valuable way of getting around).

We were very happy with Affordable Campers!

This camper-van company was great. Bigir was very prompt when I emailed about rates and questions. He met us at a train station when we needed to pick up the van and then at the end of the trip he dropped us off in downtown Reykjavik.

When we picked up the van, the van was ready to go. Birgir gave a quick tutorial on how the van works and where everything is kept (cooking utensils, window shades). We were on the road very quickly!

The camper had a heating system which was great! We only needed to use it one night but it was a relief to have. The heating system was hooked up to a separate battery so we didn't need to worry about draining the van's battery. Our cooler had a hard time keeping cool so we just kept our food outside during the night.

There was really a lot of room in the van. When looking for a camper van, I didn't want a van that had storage above me. All the storage was below the bed and when they built the bed platform, they really maximized the space. The bed was comfy and the red curtains that we hung over the window's really allowed for some privacy.

When we return to Iceland, we will definitely use Affordable Campers again!

We were really impressed with affordable campers. They were the cheapest option available for us (Iceland is expensive) but also the best. The van was very well designed and fitted out. It had a fridge, heater, plenty of storage space and comfortably slept two of us. We saw many other vans on the road which lacked many of these features. The guys were very friendly and amicable. They picked us up and dropped us off at the start and end of the trip. They also gave us extra food left over from other customers and lots of advice. We'll deserved 5 stars

These guys were absolutely brilliant. They picked us up and drove us to the rental office. Everything went smoothly and with utter transparency, no small letters anywhere. The camper price was slightly above average but for 2 very good reasons.
1) The camper we got had heating system and believe me, I spoke to other campers who said they wished they had one in theirs because even in the summer it gets pretty cold at night and a sleeping bag is just not comfortable enough. It runs on an independent system of some sort so you don't have to worry about the battery running out.
2) Mini fridge: I can't stress enough how game changing it was to have one even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking. We could stock up 3 days of food supplies without worrying about when we were going to hit a supermarket on the way next. Also it keeps you from eating sausages + sandwiches for 10 days and enjoy the real food. We got some amazing lamb steaks and salmon and each night was a treat.
Overall experience with them was really great, they are truly a gem especially considering how service providers think of tourists as milking cows. Highly recommended.

These guys took great care of us! The van was in great shape (much better than a lot of the vans I saw on the road) and had a lot of great features like cookware, stove and cooler. They'll even pick you up at a location of your choice and bring you right to the rental office to get you on your way. The price was incredibly reasonable and the staff overall just wanted us to have a great time. Would definitely rent from them again!

Rented a camper to drive the ring road, and can't express enough gratitude for the level of service and quality of care. The camper was affordable, got great gas mileage, had more amenities in outdoor kitchen than we even needed, and exceeded our expectations as we encircled Iceland. Comfortable bed and nice, thick curtains to block out the sun for great rest between the endless, gorgeous sights! I previously drove the ring road in a rental car/tent, but the camper was just as fuel efficient and a much better option to see the country more comfortably & just as affordably. Can't thank them enough for all of their help!

We rented a 2 people campervan for the last 4 days with affordable campers.
Everything worked like a charme. The car was in perfect condition and very clean. All necessary camping equipment was present. The car even had a heating system and they provided sheets, blankets and pillows for free. The interior layout is well designed. Enough space for big bags which is below the sleeping surface. Even being a tall guy over 1.90m I had no issues at all sleeping comfortable in the van.
Also the service was excellent, flexible pickup and return locations within the city.
I can highly recommend affordable campers!

We enjoyed a lot our tour experience with Affordable Minivan.
It was simple, but well optimized and with all necessaries stuff to be independent and in a warm ambient.
Company guys were friendly, flexible and very fast to answers all kind of questions!
It permitted us to visit Iceland in a convenient and self-sufficient way!
We hope to Affordable campers in our next trip in Iceland :)
