Our experience with Go Car Rental was great! They are incredibly well priced and an excellent option for those who can’t afford the HUGE deposits that other rental companies charge up front. The staff were excellent on handover and super knowledgeable about driving around Iceland. Everything about the whole process was just super easy, and they reply very quickly to questions via email/chat. 10/10 - will definitely be booking with them again on our next trip! :)

I had a great experience with Go Car Rental. The entire processus was smooth and effortless.

I was able to pick up the car at 1AM thanks to the free self pick up process. The team was super helpful and accomodating, they answered all my questions and worries.

The Suzuki Jimny I rented is the best car I could wish for to drive all around the ring road. It was very reassuring to have a robust yet small 4X4, that went through all roads!

I could not wish for a better agency to travel around the country. I'd definetly recommend renting with Go Car Rental. Fair prices and excellent service!

Very decent price for Subaru Forester with eyesight adaptive cruise control for average 350 km per day for continuous 6 days !

It’s a very good car for the long distance driving and very stable when encountering the windy storm.

I had a borrowed Subaru Forester (great car for 4 people and trip on paved and unpaved roads) for 10 days. I have only positive experiences with GoCar, quick pickup at Keflavik airport and drop off at the main office with a shuttle transfer back to Reykjavik. In the main office, you can purchase e.g. gas bombs and other necessary equipment for your travels in Iceland, including a free food section for sharing leftovers. Great attitude and customer service, i can only recommend GoCar for vehicle rental.

We obtained the accurate cars we reserved.
I can recommend Subaru Forester as very comfortable even in F roads. Crossing the rivers with X-Mode on was smooth as piece of cake. No technical issues with the cars, we made 3000km.
Check-in: since we landed in later hours the cars were waiting for us right in the airport Parking zone (300m from the hall).
Check-out: quick all went well.

We had a great experience with Go car rental on our Iceland around the island trip. The renting price was reasonable and service was good. Picking up the car at the airport was easy, and the person delivered the car to us explained everything clearly. The car drove well around the island without any problem. Overall, the excellent car renting experience really help us very much to achieve our happy holiday on the Island. One important fact for the US traveler, remember to add a security code for your credit card, all gas station need this code, or you will not be able to pump gas. Many gas stations are all automatic, with no attendant around.

We had a great experience with Go Car rental. They not only picked us up from our AirBnB (not from a hotel, which not many of the other rentals had offered), they also dropped us off after we had returned the car. They were extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely use Go Car rentals in the future, and would recommend it to anyone!

I can highly recommend the provider. Our car was delivered to us at the airport as ordered. Previously existing lacquer damages were again examined and marked together, so that there are no problems afterwards. The delivery at the office was also smooth: the car was briefly inspected and then we were driven to Reykjavik to our desired address by shuttle. Everything was great! Thank you very much for the uncomplicated and friendly service.

We started off waiting in the airport after getting of a long flight to Iceland ready to get on with our day when we noticed there were no signs for the logo/name of the company we chose to get a car fromso we asked the information desk and she basically told us to wait we had already waited for almost 30 minutes along with another group of people waiting for the same company after about 1 hour we saw a guy with the Iceland go t-shirt and saw the sworn of people rush towards him asking questions getting info etc. One of our family members followed the man to the rental service where there were tons of people waiting to return cars and get cars and everything was crazy by the time we got the car we had wiped out a solid 2 and a half hours to get on the road.Returing the car:
After and awesome trip we were ready to return the car which by what we saw last time we knew would be hard. Started off with another big line (which isn’t nesessarily their fault) and ended up being shunned for returning the car late. Overall not a good experience from this car company and I would not recommend Iceland go.

NEVER RENT A CAR WITH THIS COMPANY!!
We booked a car 3 weeks ago. When we droped off the car, they said us that we had to pay almost 700€ for a car's damage (you can see the photo) We didn't make the damage and we picked Up the car with the damage. We had to pay because we had to go to the airport. When we arrived to Spain, I sent the evidences (photos and video) that I took before take the car in the Office the first day and the damage was there already.
THEY DON'T WANT REFUND US OUR MONEY EVEN TOUGHT THE EVIDENCES.

I have already called to the office and some Divy o Dinny doesn't want help us and he Talks to me contemptuously and shouting.

When I said that the price for the damage was so expensive he said me: I DON'T KNOW IN YOUR COUNTRY, BUT IN MY COUNTRY THE WORK IS PAID. I don't know what I have to think about this comment. Are we slaves in my country?

This is a disgrace.

The service and price are good and quick, they even pick you up and drive you back to the pace where you live in the city center. However, be careful when you get the car, photos must be taken just in case you will get the fine from the company. Anyway, it’s really good to have a car from here. Go Car Rental was easy to communicate with in advance of our trip, were flexible when I accidentally booked the wrong dates, and helped us in adjusting our rental choice once we arrived. A representative met us in the arrival section of the airport once we got there, so we didn't even need to take a shuttle to the rental car area. Upon arrival, we opted to upgrade to a heavier vehicle that was better equipped for the stormy winter conditions that were forecast during out visit, and the person who we worked with made that an easy process. Everything was super clear and convenient, and we definitely would recommend renting with them if you are traveling to Iceland.

If you want to leave the country really angry then rent from these guys, Go Car Rental Iceland. Went to pick up car, did all the paperwork, went to car with employee, did walk around. I pointed out a few little minor scratches and employee said "ahh no don't worry about those.." (thought: seemed like a reasonable place) and finished our quick walk around with few marks to note. We then toured the beautiful country for 4 days. Always staying on the well maintained roads. Upon return the employee on duty did a big time inspection but found nothing. Then he jumps on the ground and goes under the front of the car and says that he found a scratch on the underside spoiler. ?!?!. Scratch was the size of a pea and nothing structural. I said we never hit anything and that area was never inspected before we left. He didn't care. Was going to charge me. Luckily I had paid for the insurance so it wasn't going to matter that this guy was going to rip me off. WRONG! $500 deductible! and a brand new spoiler costs about $1,000. Could have spent 10 seconds with touch-up paint and would never know the difference. Anyway after some arguments I refused to sign the damage declaration and left. Unfortunately when I got my credit card bill they still charged me. So now I am disputing with the credit card company. I wonder how many tourists Go Car Rental Iceland has made on that little scratch the no one can see when they rent the car. What a crappy way to end an otherwise great trip. Getting scammed / ripped off by a local Iceland company.

Really nice people, they gave us a bettter car that the one we booked, pick up and drop off at our guesthouse with no wait. I highly recommend them! Next time i come to Iceland i will book again with them!

We rented a car for 11 days with this company, and the car itself wasn't even the best part. Although it was brand new, low mileage and perfect condition, the staff is what really enhanced our experience. They basically treated us like friends with revered patience, quality service and friendliness. Also they offer free shuttle service which is amazingly convenient. They are the definition of costumer service. Thank you Grettir and the other gentleman who also helped us out with the Wifi problem. A special thanks to the blonde girl who took the extra time to teach me manual. (i am bad with names)

GO Cars picked me up from where I was staying and brought me back to their location. Along the way, I learned my driver was the OWNER of the company, Jón. He was so friendly. The car I rented was a 2016 Hyundai Tuscon Diesel 4×4. Awesome car, heated steering wheel. I would definitely suggest getting the gravel insurance because some gravel dinged my windshield. After the trip, I was dropped off at my hostel by another really nice man. Overall, the experience was great.

Just returned from wonderful trip to Iceland
Hired a car from Go Car and service was hassle free and best ever !!!!
Special thanks to Arben who is a really great guy.
Picked us up in town when we went to collect car and dropped us to our accommodation when we dropped it back.
Paperwork was done in minutes with no hidden insurance extras as with many other companies.
