Hostel is very small. And rooms are very bright and muggy in the evening. It was one of the cheaper options so I guess you get what you pay for, but there are no common areas so people tend to hang out and be loud in the sleeping area. Also no hreakfast. Wouldn't stay again, and I am a budget traveler.
Good location, but tiny tiny rooms with almost no shared space. Only 5-6 people can be at the kitchen at the same time. There is no other shared places in-house, just outside.
They're indeed nice, and for the price you pay I guess that's allright.
Hostel 101 is a lovely cosy little hostel gem in he very centre of Reykjavik. 10min distance from the main attractions, funky cafes, and shops. It’s clean, neat, and well designed. The kitchen has an retro feel, and is well equipped. There are three bathrooms with warmed up floor, and a hairdryer. I believe there are also laundry facilities, though I have not used them.
The place is warm and has a nice garden. It’s also close to Harpa conference centre and plenty of cafes that are good to work from.
- Bring your own towel.
- There is not much common space — only the kitchen table, but you can work/read in the room.
- The kitchen is closed 11pm - 7am.
The price is right for this place. Very clean. The host is a family operation, and they are very friendly. Fast wifi.
Great Hostel Lovely people very accommodating. They ask for quiet by 11 which suited us fine. The only downside was there is no communal room.
Fabulous location, affordable cost considering every other place in Reykjavik. The managers who work there are so accommodating and very friendly. Very clean facilities, and has a kitchen and fridge that every guest is free to use. Highly recommend staying here, especially for anyone on a budget.
Cute hostel. Great location and staff. Not as crowded as a lot of hostels, too. Best price you could find in the centre.
En plein centre ville mais au calme - jolie petite guesthouse avec deux chambres de plusieurs lits. Ambiance plutôt sympa mais il faut être bien en phase avec l'ambiance dortoir, on ne choisit pas ses voisins de lit ;)
Easiest, friendliest, nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. Its perfect for the lone traveler or small group of friends, three individual bathrooms and two dorm rooms, all incredibly well styled and comfortable. I will be returning here without a doubt
This is one of the friendliest places I've ever stayed. The owners work hard to ensure that everyone feels welcome and give some excellent travel advice for exploring Iceland. Because of this wonderfully welcoming atmosphere making friends and getting to know people. I'd recommended this hostel to anyone. It is spotlessly clean, accessible, and in a great location.
Great little hostel in the heart of Reykjavik. Run by the nicest family who's personal touch makes you feel at ease. Lots of bathrooms and they keep the place extremely clean. If you are looking to a nice hostel experience then stay here.
