Great staff, lovely food. Beer was very good and well priced. The bar food choice could be better. I like the casino but it took my money!
Wasn't overly happy to pay £20.00 to park seeing as myself and my colleges not including the room bill probably spent £2000.00 over the 5 days of our stay.
Overall, nice hotel, little bit dated.

I had supper with my boss at Chinese restaurant not for playing. I've never had any issue with my casual dress to any casino before. Anyway, the security guy was very rude and warning me my dress for entering the casino. Hey, you should told me before i go to the restaurant not after yo! And i hear what you said at first time, do you really need to tell me second time when I leave the restaurant?? What the hell!!!

We stayed here at the weekend. The rooms where tiny. My partner couldnt sit on the toilet as it was soo close to the bath and the bed felt like we where sleeping on block concreat. But that said, the paragon restaurant was great, lovely food!

The staff and the service at this hotel are excellent. Nothing is too much. Although the hotel is in need of renovation the staff and service more than make up for this. The food is very good and menu choices are varied and cater for all diets. The chef is very happy to accommodate requests where possible. The all inclusive deal is excellent.

Nice rooms. View to the back of the hotel was quite good, although the sea view is better. Our room was a bit cool, but I like it that way. Breakfast was very good.

Wonderful place. Room is big an well equipped. Staff very helpful and polite. And the cooked breakfast was amazing. They serve the lot even black pudding and fried bread 😀 overall it is turning out to be a great short break 😀

We stayed with our teenage kids for a week for a family wedding. From the outside this hotel is looking very very scruffy. As far as maintenance goes it doesn't appear to have had any. The shower in our room had at best a trickle of water coming out of it.
However enough of the negatives. The staff were excellent. Housekeeping do a fantastic job. Our rooms which were adjacent and a very good size were kept spotless. The rest of the staff that we dealt with were equally good. Very friendly and nothing was to much bother. Food was excellent and definitely plentiful. The draught beers were a little warm for my liking but that's probably a personal thing. Overall an excellent stay on the island which is a friendly place. We'll definitely be back. If only the owners of the hotel took as much pride in the building as the staff seem to. A spruce up and ongoing maintenance wouldn't hurt.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location, great staff very friendly. Comfy and good food. The only downside is no where to sit with a coffee in the evening other than the bar which was noisy when we were there.

Honeymoon at the palace hotel. Amazing views, room, staff and food. Everyone couldn't do enough for us. Two days of pure indulgent, enjoyment and satisfaction. Thank you all so much. Will never forget our short time here. Will be back and fully recommend it.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was excellent and well cooked. We were lucky enough to have a room looking out over the sea which was a real bonus.

Dated. That's the best word for it. Very friendly staff, good restaurant and bar, terrible little casino, but again everyone was friendly. But the property itself looks as if it hasn't been renovated in decades and honestly, there was a bit of a smell. Views were so-so, and they charged top dollar. I give it 3 stars because everyone working there was simply wonderful But the property leaves something to be desired. Not a bad place to stay, just not that good either.

Not the most attractive building with decor stuck in the late 1980s. But excellent beach / bay views. Front desk staff came across as shambolic, lazy and undisciplined clowns.are they actually paid to be there or just hanging out? Not a great first impression. But strangely a good, solid breakfast with friendly and attentive restaurant staff. Reasonably decent sized indoor pool and spa area. Its certainly not the worst place I've stayed in.

Stayed for five nights at beginning of July 2017. First impression of façade and lobby was hotel looked tired. However bedroom corridors and the room itself were bright and fresh. Good facilities in room and plenty of tea, coffee. milk, shampoo, body wash etc. Good towels.
Had breakfast and some dinners in restaurant. Both buffet style with freshly cooked options. Food generally very good and reasonable value.
Without doubt the stars of the hotel are the staff. Everyone I spoke to from chamber maids via restaurant to duty manager were friendly and helpful.response / report this review -

The hotel was okay although it did seem to be very much centred on the casino part of the business. The staff on reception were a mix of good and very poor in their attitudes. Mostly not interested in giving information about the area. They seemed fed up with having to reprogram the room keys as we were having to ask for this to be done when we were locked out of the room. Room itself was very nice. And breakfasts excellent. Restaurant staff friendly and pleasant.

Its very dated and the bathrooms are pretty tiny. Definitely get the sea view option else this will not be a pleasant stay at all. The Gym is again very dated but well maintained.

Stay at this hotel every March to attend the IOM darts festival, and I can honestly say we have always had a brilliant stay, breakfast is superb, rooms ample size, no complaints whatsoever

Very tired hotel in desperate need of either upgrade or demolishment!
The rooms are small and shabby with a bathroom you can hardly move in. Cleanliness seems to be a mix, guess it depends on who cleaned the room.
The rooms also seem unbearably hot with the heating uncontrollable and working even in the the warmer months!
The breakfast is a reasonable buffet and about the only saving grace for this hotel. It might have been acceptable in its prime but standards away from the IOM have moved on leaving this hotel well and truly short.response / report this review -

Hotel in need of a major update as it is dated and shabby. The staff are by-and-large very nice and the restaurant serves up good food. The gym is also in need of a big update. It's a pity that the owners have let this hotel deteriorate as it's a nice big building in a good location opposite the promenade.

Mixed feelings about this place.
It is fairly old and walking into it from the beach side makes you think your walking into an out of hours nightclub/casino.
Room was OK. It was spacious, clean. Bed was comfortable enough.
Make sure to ask/buy beachview as the alternative is looking at the gloomy looking car park.
Outside the room, hotels restaurant makes pretty decent food.response / report this review
