A hidden gem in a wonderful Irish village, whilst at the same time only a few minutes from a main road to Dublin. Weir's has managed to keep every inch of old Irish charm, and has a cosy, traditional feel inside. If you're looking for a reliable, wholesome meal that is off the beaten track - this is the place to go.

On this visit, I had their battered cod with rustic chips and salad. The food exceeded my expectations - it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was also above average, and it was pretty affordable too.

It won't take the full length of your meal to realise why Weir's, and Multyfarnam in general, is such a special place. It helps if its a rainy day too (so you get the full Irish experience), but that's just personal taste!

That was delicious! A cute little hole in the wall, with a big open seating area, friendly staff, and solid food. Too bad they don't have draught beers or ciders. The rhubarb crumble was divine!

Excellent pub especially for a bite to eat. Sunday lunch is great, I really like the roast beef. Rhubarb crumble or apple pie are perfect for pudding. Pat and Una are great hosts too.

We recently stayed in the beautiful house located in the back yard of the bar and restaurant. The house is very comfortable and provides everything that a couple might require. We enjoyed hanging out in the bar and the food is excellent. The owners are most hospitable and charming. A great place to stay and eat when touring around Westmeath.

Excellent gastropub. One of the best restaurants in the county, if not country.
