My experience was good, the beds were very comfortable. But the room wasn't very warm.the breakfast was only OK , I thought the staff could spare another pot of coffee. Overall was OK.
We stayed here over Halloween break and had a lovely time. We arrived just before the 3pm check-in time and we quickly got parked as for their was ample parking. We walked into the big reception and the lovely receptionist got us sorted in less than 5 minutes. After quickly getting checked in we went up to our room, one thing I didn’t particularly like was the fact that their were multiple doors to go through. We got to our family room and their were 2 double beds and an additional camp bed as there was 5 of us. Our room was in the new part of the building but it was still a bit out dated. We all unpacked although there was very little clothing space. The bathroom was nice but again it was outdated. There were quite a lot of sockets in the room so lots of places to charge phones. We went down to the bar and waited ages for our food but when it did come it was lovely food. The bar was big but it was very stuffy. After our food we sat in the reception as there was lots of seating there. When we were finished our drinks we went back to the room and had a comfortable sleep. At breakfast there was a great buffet and the hot food was delicious. I would recommend going down for breakfast early as we had to queue for half an hour. After breakfast we sat in the lounge area which was away from reception. It had lots of comfortable couches and coffee tables. Later on we went to the pool. There were two open plan changing areas. The pool was good. There was the main pool with a jacuzzi to the side, a kids pool, a sauna and a steam room. The shallow end was 0.9m and the deep end was 2m deep. It was quite clean but the water was a bit salty. There was no lifeguard as the hotel was a bit under staffed. That night we went to the restaurant for dinner. The food was lovely and there was quick service. The kids portions were nearly as big as the adults portions although they were a bit pricey. There were ladies and gents bathrooms both of them were clean and big. We went back to the room and the room service had done a great job. One thing about the room is that there is no air conditioning and the room got quite hot at night. There was free WiFi but it was quite bad. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel and would definitely recommend it!
Had to give them an average as its such a mixed review. I went in to the hotel and it was very nice in the reception but my room was awful. Peeling damp wallpaper, a dirty toilet, everything outdated and the heating wasn't on most of the time. Even the tap in the bathroom was hanging half off and the shower temperature was nearly impossible to cool down. I would give the room about 1 star. On the other hand the bar food was class. Enjoyed it so much! Don't think I've had many meals as good so hats of to the chef his chowder was great and the steak sandwich was perfectly done. Also the waitress was great - so friendly and was very professional. I think her name was Niamh. 5 star experience with the food! So basically go there for food but not a room
Good hotel just outside Dungarvan town centre. Room was fine, bathroom okay. The breakfast was very good, the hot food was cooked to order, not left under heat. There was chilled glasses of yoghurt, to which you could add nuts and berries. We paid 130 BB on a Sat night in August. Guinness was 4.60 in the bar, and soft drinks were overpriced, as is common, at 2.95 for a 220 ml bottle.
Enjoyed a lovely three day break in Parks Hotel. The staff were friendly the food was great. The bar is great and we had entertainment two of the nights. The room are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is lovely and you have a wide choice of what to eat. It location is excellent and its five minutes to the town square. All in all and great place to stay. Enjoy
Wonderful staff. Very comfortable communal areas - reception, lounge, garden. Welcomes children. Very clean.
Could do with a facelift. Mattress sagged in the middle.
Lovely houses to stay in with a family. Great location for walking into the town. Friendly staff, good hotel food and service. Pool ideal for small children or a quick dip.
Lovely hotel, nice food, close to town
No air conditioning, constant smell of manure, uncomfortable sheets, doors that aren't able to be opened from the inside if they are locked on the outside, windows that only crack, very loud machinery all around the premises, curtains that don't close all the way. Completely overheated inside when the outside temperature is only 45°. The sheets are only comprised of a comforter, so you either sleep with nothing or sleep with the equivalent of a human body on you. The opposite of "luxury."
Good place to have a meeting. Scone with cream & jam is a good option. Decent bar food. As in most hotels here, prices aee too high.
I have not stayed at the hotel but I enjoy from time to time sitting in the foyer reading. It has a very nice ambiance.
Attended a wedding here. Bedroom was comfortable with an excellent bed and all you would wish for to enjoy a comfortable stay. Food both at the wedding and for breakfast next morning was excellent, staff were attentive and helpful. To top it off the price was also a welcome surprise. Well he back!
