My wife & I just enjoyed our third stay at Dún Ard this past July. Our first visit was due to the Internet and Blind Luck. We chose it because the description seemed most inviting. Was it beautiful, luxurious and a joy? Yes..all of that! But it was actually more. Annie & Joe treated us like it was good to see us againeven though this was our first visit. We thought we understood hospitality, but they provided an entirely new definition. The setting, the view, the accomodations, the furnishings, the decorating and the food were all exceptional. But, beyond that, Annie & Joe were what made Dún Ard so special. We hated to leaveand were eager to returnwhich we did 8 months later. That was the coldest and wettest March in Ireland’s historybut the welcome and the visit was sincere and warm. Advice on ways to go, places to see and suggestions for food and drink were all exactly in keeping with our desires. Of course, Mooney's was part of that trip. It was close, genuine and just perfect! Now after our most recent stay, it seems more like a visit with close friends. It was my Birthday weekend and both Annie & Joe were there to add to the excitement of my very first “Birthday Bumps”! We’ll return again and again. You have to do that when you have such good Friends who just happen to operate Dún Ard!
