Nice pub located in Dublin city Centre beside the spire on O'Connell Street. Nice food and stuff.
As the Dad joke goes, it's a grand aul' bar and it's central.
This is a proper pub. Doesn't pretend ir try to be anything it is not. Grest quality pints, good food and prompt, friendly and professional service.
Love this bar. The food, service, atmosphere, all great. The building itself is interesting as it's an old bank. It has a bar in the basement that can be booked for private events.
Ordinarily I wouldn't post a review but I am slightly unsettled with my meal in this establishment today. As someone who's worked in the restaurant industry for years, I am also aware of the eye rolls some of these reviews can get. Nonetheless, I ordered the lasagna and was starving but as I tucked into it not even two bites in, I found a hair embedded in it. My other guest signaled the waitress and she immediately took it away whilst my other guests continued to enjoy their food. Sending food back is also something I'm not inclined to do but hair in food is offputting at best.
My issue was less with the food which tasted alright for the bit I got but more with the manager who approached me with an accusing tone when addressing the issue. "It's werid I found a hair when the kitchen staff wear hats and fishnets" To which I agree and i also understand that people could plant hairs to get a free meal but I assure you I wouldve loved to enjoy that lasagna without the hair in its entirity. I feel an apology would've been more appropriate at that point and time and would hope other guests don't get the same abrasive manner. I also note that kitchens arent always run as smoothly as presented to the public, prep occurs before rushes and that lasagna was not made on the spot so please be kind next time you fancy glaring at a guest for pointing out a potential flaw which occured. I appreciate the waitress who was more sensitive, albeit she had nothing to do with the incidents.
Overall, the prices were a little steap but understandable with dublin rent to consider and it's great location. The atmosphere of the place pre manager was pleasent. My other guest seemed to enjoy the apple crumble immensely. The waitress was also lovely. The manager however ruined my evening as I felt somewhat attacked for my find and further damped what already was a miserable day weather wise. He did do right by allowing for the lasagna to not be charged.
Inexpensive.
Delicious food.
Great coffee.
Kind, gentle staff.
Brilliant customer service.
Immaculately clean venue.
Great food. Soup and bread were excellent. Also had the Cajun chicken burger and garlic potatoes which were awesome! Cool pub and highly recommended!!
Great food - great service and atmosphere in central location - showing sport but not intrusively - always busy.
Nice place for a drink or food after work. Good atmosphere. Has TV for football. Some background music. So good place for conversion.
Great place to eat in city centre. Proper food at a reasonable price
We never got served! We waited at least 10 minutes to be waited on but no one came to see us. No one was at the entrance so we sat ourselves. Maybe we didn't follow protocol? Not sure, but we ended up leaving and had dinner at Eddie Rocket's. :o (
Great location in dublin city centre, great food and very friendly staff .
Nice food, lovely interior and very friendly staff. Seems quite popular in the late afternoons and evenings so it is sometimes difficult to get a table during those times. Very central and easy to find. Price for food is pretty normal in Dublin.
Really tasty food that's very good value but limited menu. Staff are friendly and have table service. The building is amazing and facilities are clean and well maintained. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails.
